I was able to transport the children and get them to some friends for the rest of the week. Brought a large load of supplies back to Black Mountain. We are incredibly thankful and humbled by the love and support of our friends and this community so far. It’s been less than a week and there’s a lot of work to be done. strangers have given me cash and countless people have offered support. Miraculously we got power back to our home and have likely one of the only operating wells that are high enough to have clean drinking water. It’s such a blessing that we can share with our neighbors. on the drive back into town I passed no less than 50 back to back. Walmart trucks likely full of supplies coming to our community. God loves this world and I’m thankful to see others loving us. If you are able, please consider a way to support this community either financially or with supplies. Thank you.

I’m finally able to send a quick message to let people know that my family and I are safe.
It’s Difficult to describe the destruction of our community due to the hurricane. The Mountain areas are not prepared for, nor can they withstand such a storm. We and thousands of others are still without power, water, and have spotty cell services. There is only one road currently open for people to vacate or for supplies to be delivered. Thousands of homes destroyed, still hundreds of missing persons as of today, and most people have no way of communicating with anyone beyond who is in front of them. Please pray for the people in Western North Carolina and the other areas affected.
