Congratulations to Kevin McCann as he comes home victorious in Race 5 of the IROC Challenge Series at Talladega Superspeedway. This is Kevin's second victory of the regular season.

Kevin seemed to have a strategy of running around in the back for the majority of the race and striking when opportunity showed itself. The would work out perfectly for Kevin as he would place himself in the right place at the right time at the end. Coming to the checkered flag off of turn four it would be checkers or wreckers as at least 20 cars would pile up after contact from a four wide exit off the turn.

The race itself would not disappoint as we saw many green flag laps again and three wide racing many rows back. In total we would run the full length of 100 laps. There were 4 cautions (2 stage break cautions) for 13 laps. On the night we would see 48 lead changes among 14 drivers. To say the least, racing in the IROC Series has been top notch so far this season.

Stage 1 would end in dramatic fashion as you could throw a blanket under the first 6 cars coming to the stripe. In the end Chris Walley would take the checkered flag to win the stage.

Stage 2 would end a little early as a caution mid pack would come out as the leaders had just a couple laps to end the stage. Brian McCann would find himself as the victor in Stage 2 to pick up the 10 regular season bonus points and one playoff point.

The racing has been amazing. Next week will be Race 6 of the Regular Season at Rockingham Speedway. This will also be our first of three regular season Dash4Cash events. Be sure to tune in LIVE on Global SimRacing Channel next Thursday, September 8th, at 9:40pm EST.

Congratulations to Kevin McCann on taking the victory in Race 3 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Kevin started 6th, led 33 laps, won both stages and pulled away to a +0.751 lead coming to take the checkered flag to sweep all three stages.

The race was 100 laps in length. On the night we saw 5 cautions (two stage breaks and a caution to start the race) for 20 laps. We had five lead changes amongst four drivers that led in the race. The races started 33 drivers and would see 22 drivers still on the lead lap at the end. 23rd - 26th would be caught just 1 lap down.

The excitement started early as Kyle Pendygraft had his engine shut off coming to the green flag. This would stack up the outside row from 20th on back, and eventually have Kyle facing the wrong direction. During this incident we did see a rare cycle to where guys were caught behind the pace car under caution since not all drivers had crossed the start/finish line prior to the yellow waving. A few chose to pit and would see themselves going a lap down early as the wave around was for those drivers that were in front of the leader coming to "one to go". The other drivers would get their lap back on the next caution.

Stage 1 ended with Kevin McCann out front as the leader in dominant fashion.

Stage 2 would have Kevin McCann inching out Brandon Mefford as they came to the stripe side by side to end the stage.

To begin Stage 3 Troy Radford would find himself having to start in the back because of the Winners Penalty he received from winning the week prior. Troy would battle back to finish 16th in the race.

All in all it was another great race from the IROC crew! Multiple green flag laps with some green flag pit stops mixed in. Join us next week as race at the Nashville Fairgrounds. We are sure to see some finders rubbing and some elbows up racing. Thursday August 18th at 9:40pm the green flag will wave on Global SimRacing Channel YouTube page.

P8!

Our first Daytona 24 was a success. Placed into a higher split than expected (4th split), we were up against some tough competition in the LMP2 class. We qualified 20th and it looked like we had a tough day ahead of us not having the pace of the other teams.

Brian kept the car clean and stuck to the strategy in the opening stint taking us from p20 to p9 in 2.5 hours.

Derek and Neil both kept the car clean and kept us in the top 13 all night long.

In the end, we were able to bring the car home in p8 out of 23 LMP2 drivers in the 4th split. We had a blast and will surely be back for the upcoming endurance races this year.
