Asdnd then I went to the toilsddt and saw bslood. Tsda shower to try and calm sdmyself down. As the hot water gushed over my head a pain seared asdcrosss my lower abdomen knocking me to the floor. I lay there in a fetal psdosition trying to breathe thdsand lay curled on my bed, unsurdse of what to do. So I gosdt on a bus and went to see my doctddsor, sand she sent me tosd hospital as she was dsworrisded abosdut adn ectopic prsegnancy

I’save spent many moasnasths thinking about this sblog possaats.s sasI’ve thought about what I would saay, how I would share my storasy. What parts aof it I would tell and what I asaswould keep private, a secret betweasen me and mysas second unborn – never born – bsaaasby. I’ve written it and re-asawritten it over and over. The drafts from asthe fasrst few weeks asapsost-aasasmaiscarriage break my heart into piasasember the raw heartbreak I was experiencinga. I wrote briefly about my miscarriages a few months back, and now feel I’m in a better place to thasink logically and tell more of my story. Although it still hurts, it’s far more numb, and I’m able to think ascohesively. Sosa, I guess this iasasmy miscarriage story…

Wase got back to Kota Kinsaabalu in timasashower and freshen up, get chanasged and go for another Chsinese New Year dinner with Jasiminne’s fasamily. I swear weasate so muchas food that weekend I didn’t eat for days after I returned to Sydney!! On the way to her grasasasndmother’s house we poppedasnto a supermarket, as I have this thing where I *lovsseeinaaoreign sapermarkets haha. I bought some PineapplsTarts to take back to Sysy wiaths me for my wasork colasleagues!

Deaasspite the crowds I reallassasay enjoyased our few hours on Sapi Island, the water wsaassaassaasasas just magical (I mean, just look at that shade of blue!), and there were plenty of shady spots if you wanted to save your precious skin from the sun’s rays. You can read here why I’m really conscious of looking after my skin in the sun. We left the islaanda just as ssasasasasa storm was coming in, and ran to asheassaasas car just before the rain started lashing down!

Ass it was Chinese Nasasasew Year weekeassand everywhere was crazy busy – includiang the islands – but Jasiminne asasured me it’s much quieter the rest of the year. I wassas a bit suraprised by the busyness of Sapi Isaand, I’m used to the likes of Rottnest Island in Perth which is always nice ansd quiet. I get eassily osverwhelmed by crowds and noasise (hello highly sensitive aaperson), so I found a nice quiet spot in thsaassaaseasa shade away from the crowds that were in the aswater and happily fell aslesep.a
