Emergency bath due to 💩 incident 😂
Have you ever had this happen with your pup? We were just going to clean off his back, but he was being so patient we decided we might as well do the full dog 🧼
Question- do you bathe your own pups, or take them to a groomer? 🤔
We usually take Graham to our favorite Samoyed groomer every 10 weeks. Leo goes twice a year. Anything extra is at a self-wash dog wash- which have been awesome now that we’ve found them close to home 🛁

I’m giving it a little longer before taking him into the vet. When he was younger, something similar happened to his back leg, and by the time we made it to the vet he had forgotten all about it 🙃
Life with snow dogs is never boring…
When everyone just sees his sweet, angel side 😇, but you actually live with him 😂

When you see all those training sessions pay off 🩵🐾 #huskymom
One of the biggest things I’ve focused on this year- specially to prep for being pregnant/bringing home a baby- is training our dogs for 1. Safety & 2. To keep our active lifestyle once the baby comes!
It’s taken lots of new habits & practice, but I’m so happy every time we can enjoy the outdoors with the pups 🥰
Special shout-out to Molly from @petesadventurepack for helping us so much this year! If you’re in SLC/PC area, we’ve loved working with her and she’s truly a pro at huskies!
Also, if you’re in Utah county, both my snow pups did Board & Trains with @banditsstayandplay & he’s an awesome trainer that only uses positive reinforcement.
I’ve had great experiences with both trainers and it’s truly up to what works best for you & your dog! 🐾

How do you know when you’re ready for a second dog? 🐾
I got this question yesterday and thought it was such a great discussion! When I added Graham to the mix, he was actually my 3rd dog- I had Bliss & Leo back then.
Things I considered/would consider before adding another dog in the future would be:
1. Am I happy with where my current dog is in his/her training? Adding another dog to the pack can change up dynamics, it gives you an extra dog to handle when our on walks/adventures, and if they’re like Leo & Graham- they loooove to hype each other up 😂
This is one of the biggest reasons I won’t be adding a 3rd dog soon- I just don’t think I can handle it! We’ve been working hard at training, but I’m still not comfortable having two dogs on or off-leash by myself on hikes, so that’s one thing that would have to be accomplished before I added another pup.
2. Think about what’s coming in the future. I’m currently pregnant, and I’ve seen so many people get rid of their pets because they decide they don’t have time for it/don’t want to exercise it. I don’t know what being a human mom is like, so I want to make sure I feel comfortable with all of my current pups & responsibilities before unnecessarily adding more on!
If you feel pretty confident, but want to test it out, I would also suggest fostering to give you a preview of what multiple dogs could be like! Just make sure you commit to fostering to help the rescue dog too 😃
What are your thoughts on knowing when it’s a good time to add another dog?
Husky puppy monsters though… 👹
Luckily she’s just a foster 😅 #huskyrescue

We survived the night with 2 foster husky puppies 🩵😴
These are 2 of the 6 husky puppies that were found dumped on the highway. They are going into awesome permanent foster homes in the next day or two, but needed a place to crash for the night, so we opened our house up to them 🌙
I’m not a huge fan of puppies and love rescuing adult dogs cause i find them easier to foster. However these 2 were adorable!!

Rescue puppy days are the cutest days 🥹
As cute as these guys are, don’t forget they grow into full-size huskies in just a few months! Don’t base an adoption decision based off of how cute they look, make sure your lifestyle is prepared for their energy!
They are not available for adoption yet, but be sure to follow @arcticrescue for updates on them, and all of the other adoptable rescue huskies in Utah! 🐾
Huge thank you to all the volunteers & foster homes for making this rescue possible!
Has your dog ever changed their minds about how they feel about the vet?
We’ve seen this vet for the past 2 years, and he’s usually so happy and gets compliments on being such a great behaved husky- but this time he did not want to be touched whatsoever 😞
It was just an annual checkup visit to get his shots & heartworm updated, and I’ve never seen him act so insecure. My best guess is a bit of trauma from the last vet visit when he had to get sedated to remove quills from his porcupine adventure 🙃
From now on we’ll be bringing treats to all vet visits to make it a better experience!

Can you think of a happier place for a husky than being completely surrounded by snow? ❄️
This was from last winter. We haven’t been able to get out hiking in the snow as much this year, but seeing him this happy makes me want to put more effort into making time for it for sure.
Any other things you’d add to the Husky Puppy monster list?🐾

If we can find foster homes here in Utah, we get to go back and give these guys their freedom ride!
What questions do you guys have about how dog rescue works? I’d love to answer questions or even do a Live Q&A sometime!

When you stick your snout in the wrong place 🤦🏻♀️

After our porcupine incident this week, we’re starting to make some changes. I’m really enjoying taking them out one at a time so we can work on their training more vs them feeding off each other’s energy and just wanting to be each other’s BFFs 😂
Now I just need myself to develop that husky-energy 🙃
The hope in his eyes that I’d throw it… 🥺

Gelato’s happy ending 🥹🏡 #ADOPTED
The biggest thing for me that makes it easier to say goodbye to is when I know the home they’re going to is going to give them a better life than I can, and that’s exactly the home he’s going to 🩵
Gelato has a new husky brother & 2 humans to love him- and a new name- Pepe!
A huge thank you to everyone who followed along and loved Gelato while he was our foster pup! His new fam will keep sharing his journey at @sam_and_wolf ✨
As for our home, we’re going to wait a bit before bringing in a new foster so we can catch up on training & help with other rescue stuff!
Guess who’s back… 😏 #Gelato #FosterHusky
The weekend adoption did not go as planned, so he’s back home with me. Still as a foster until we find his try forever home 🏡
It might temporarily break my heart to say goodbye, but it’s SO worth it to see them loved & happy in their new homes 🥹
The goal for me isn’t to add a new dog to my pack, specially cause then I wouldn’t be able to keep fostering & helping other pups. Maybe one day I’ll foster fail, but for now I’ll keep being that 8yr old kid that brings home new dogs she finds on the street 😂
Can’t wait to see the rest of Gelato’s journey 🥰🏡
If you’re interested in fostering, reach out to @arcticrescue !
The rescue covers food, crate, approved medical care, etc. All you need to do is provide a home & love!
Send help pls 🙈
This literally all happened within a 5-minute window as I was chopping up tomatoes for lunch & decided to trust them playing in the yard together without me supervising.
There was zero mud out there all morning til this happened 😠🤦🏻♀️😂
