There has been a few signs that Thunder Rosa has started to become difficult to work with over the past few weeks.
It seems like becoming champion has gone to her head and one of the things she called out Ivelisse for a few years back, which resulted in Ivelisse getting a lot of heat and being one of the reasons she left, Thunder Rosa has now been accused of doing the same thing, sandbagging in a recent match against Marina Shafir in her match against her last week.
‘Sandbagging’ is basically when you purposefully make yourself difficult to maneuver around with the intention of making your opponent look weak. The tweet also accused Rosa of Shafir ‘no-selling’. In which both Britt Baker and Marina Shafir liked the first tweet.
Two tweets, from , were as follows:
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a match where somebody so obviously tried to make themselves look better than their opponent by sandbagging and no selling, but I just saw a perfect example of it on Dynamite.
It might just look like a bad match to the untrained eye but it’s pretty clear when somebody doesn’t want to play ball. Which sucks because it just makes you and your opponent look bad.
Britt Baker liked the first tweet, while Marina Shafir liked both.
Thunder Rosa has reportedly been unhappy backstage in recent weeks due to the lack of platform she’s had on the show since winning the Women’s World Championship from Baker.
She supposedly went home not feeling well at a Dynamite show recently but this could easily fit in with her current attitude, with it being likely she didn't like the creative so went home because of this.
It's being speculated that Thunder Rosa's attitude has come under fire from many within AEW, that for a talent that was working in NWA only a year ago, to have her contract bought out from Tony Khan to allow her to be a full time competitor in AEW, to have been given the opportunity to showcase her talent and put on the great match with Britt Baker in an unsanctioned lights out main event match, to be chosen as the companies Women's Champion, Thunder Rosa has supposedly been accused of being ungrateful for the opportunities she has been given and acting like she is a veteran Champion who has years of experience and championships to her name.
When Ivelisse supposedly no sold to Thunder Rosa in AEW, this attitude eventually had her removed from the company, if Thunder Rosa supposedly carries on behaving like this, the same thing might happen for her.
It seems like the power of being Women's Champion has gone straight to Thunder Rosa's head, this is unlikely a work, we will keep you updated when we know more.
