Today, Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 units from Excelsior Hose Company #1, Olyphant Hose #2 - Ladder 26, and Dive Rescue Specialists were dispatched to assist Stations 20 and 22 (Wilson Fire Co. # 1, Blakely Hose Company No. 2, Blakely Ambulance and Rescue) on a water rescue in the Lackawanna River. Stations 20 and 22 handled the extrication of the two patients from the river while other units set up downstream of the patients with ropes in the event that something went wrong with the extrication and the patients ended up floating down the river. The extrication attempts were successful and the patients were transported to a local hospital. Great work by all!

UPDATE: Zeus has been returned home.

We currently have a special visitor at our Station. This very well behaved male Husky was found by the crew of QR28 in the 1200 Block of Layton within the last 15 minutes. We’re sure that there is a loving home that is missing him!

Picnic week is here!!! Weather is looking a little warm but it is July 😀Festivities kick off thursday night with the giant parade starting at 7pm. Stands will tentatively open at 6 as long as the volunteers schedules allow. Let's all remember - the stands are staffed by volunteers and their families. Something very unique is that some stands are in their third or fourth generation of working the picnic. Hope to see you there!!!!

One Month tonight kicks off our Annual Fireman's Picnic with our gigantic parade!!! July 27, 28 and 29 with fun, food, rides and games for all ages. This is the largest fund-raising event for the Fire Company of the year. Please come out and support the picnic and have a great time with friends and family. There aren't many events like this still open to enjoy - be sure and support all the local fire company picnics throughout the summer. These are the funding means to keep the doors open and provide the greatly needed services to the region.

‼️As most of the community is aware there has been multiple fires in Gouldsboro. At this time, the State Police Fire Marshall is investigating them as arsons
and are looking for any tips to find the person responsible. If anyone has any tips please contact the State Police Fire Marshall. If you notice anything suspicious or out of the ordinary please don’t hesitate call 911 and notify the local authorities. ‼️
