A few weeks ago we held a 15-hour charity stream for Mind UK. We managed to raise £50, which will help Mind fund their mental health services such as the infoline and the online service Side By Side.

It feels amazing to have helped a charity who have helped me in the past, and this was my way of giving back to them.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME

There will be upcoming changes to the streaming schedule, an exciting name change, and the reintroduction of Podcasts!

Name Change

As of today, I'm officially changing my name on all social networks, (except Twitch) The new name will be Sheen's Corner and will be combined as one (YouTube content and Podcasts) you will start to see these changes very soon and anticipate to complete everything in a few days.

Schedule

As you've probably noticed, I haven't streamed that much for a while, and I hate the fact that I haven't been able to follow the schedule I've set. The reason behind this is mostly because after a long day at work (and I work Mon-Fri) I get home quite late and I'm tired. And when I am tired it isn't fair to go into stream when the whole point of my streams is to spread positive vibes. So because of this, my streams will now only take place at the weekends. This allows me to be fully rested during the week.

While this is a drastic change, I have also decided to work more on my YouTube presence. After each stream I will be picking the best bits out of the stream and will be making a highlight video. There will be other content too, so watch this space!

Podcast

After months of only doing 1 episode I have decided to bring back the podcast. It will be aimed at helping small streamers by interviewing other streamers about their experiences and some will even feature specific content (such as Episode 1). Episode 1 will be re-released shortly under the new brand and I will be providing a form for streamers who want to take part.

I will be doing a 15-hour stream on June 25th to raise money for Mind Charity. The work they do is absolutely amazing, and help so many people with their mental health.

I went to Mind in Summer of 2020 when the lockdown made me feel trapped in one place. We wasn't able to go out, meet friends and I felt isolated and alone. Mind helped me get back to my old self and showed me techniques to help cope with the lockdown and my surroundings.

Tip #6: Join Them!
Our final tip of the week is focused on community games. A lot of streamers do this to interact with the community. If your favourite streamers does this, then join them! It's fun :).

Tip #5: Share
Another way to help a streamer would be to share the content they are putting on social media. By sharing, it tells the streamer that you are interested and you want to help them to increase their reach!

Tip #4: Socials
If a streamer keeps mentioning their socials, then it means they want their viewers to join them. A general place for streamers to hang out is their Discord, so if they keep mentioning it, and you love to visit their streams then please consider joining :-).

Tip #3: Your Choice
If a streamer keeps mentioning you should spend money on them in forms of donations/bits/subs then that is a bad streamer. Viewers who WANT to spend money on their favourite streamer absolutely should, but it should always be the viewers decision and not to be forced or tricked into doing so by the streamer.

Tip #1: Stick Around!
If you enjoy a stream, stick around so the streamer knows they are doing a good job. By leaving a stream pretty quickly, it is telling the streamer that the content isn't really enjoyable.
