🌐 After two remarkable years of collaboration, the DiTravet project is reaching its conclusion. 🚀

Launched in 2021 in response to the digital challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, DiTravet – Digital Transformation for VET has achieved three major milestones. 🌐🔗

Partners from Finland, England, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy joined forces to overcome barriers in the ongoing digital transformation. 🌍 Together, we've not only met but exceeded project goals.

🤝 On the 28th and 29th of November, the Accademia IRSEI team had the pleasure of joining our fantastic partners for the final meeting of the Ditravet project.

This conclusive gathering brought together all project partners: Accademia IRSEI from Italy, Albeda RTHA College from the Netherlands, Tredu College from Finland, Skills Divers from Spain, City of Dublin ETB from Ireland, and our wonderful coordinators at Belfast MET, who hosted us in the most welcoming way. 🤗🌍

Greetings from Belfast! 🇬🇧 Our DitraVet Project partners have gathered for the final meeting, marking the culmination of our collaborative journey towards innovative online Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Work-Based Learning (WBL).

In this meeting, partners are diligently working on translating materials, setting high-quality standards for online VET and WBL, and fine-tuning accreditation and curriculum aspects. We're leaving no stone unturned as we prepare to wrap up the project successfully.

Exciting News! 🚀 Over 300 university-accredited micro-credentials have just landed on the brand-new MicroCreds.ie platform, making it the first of its kind in Europe! 🌍 This groundbreaking initiative, backed by the Irish Universities Association (IUA) and government ministers, is set to revolutionize the way we access higher education.

🌟 One amazing example of this collaboration is the University of Limerick, where they've developed micro-credentials in partnership with industry leaders in AI & machine learning, sustainable organizations, and supply chain management.

One of the objectives of the Ditravet project, project number 2020-1-UK01-KA226-VET-094509, is to analyze the recognition at the national level of micro-credentials. At the European level, with the Recommendation “on a European approach to micro-credentials for lifelong learning and employability” of 16 June 2022, the Council of the European Union promotes the use of micro-credentials\ open badges in institutions and businesses.

9 May 2023 marked the beginning of the European Year of Skills, which aims to increase the skills of workers or jobseekers, especially in the digital area.

The European Year aims at upskilling and reskilling workers in different sectors through events and training courses organised by various stakeholders and experts in the field. Actions will be aimed at strengthening already existing initiatives and policies at the European level.

In the area of digital skills development, the Ditravet project, in line with the themes of the European Year of Skills, is planning a meeting between partners that will take place soon to continue the development of activities.

➡CDETB is the state education and training authority for Dublin city. We provide, support and co-ordinate a comprehensive range of professional high-quality education, training and youth services in Dublin city. We are also responsible for supporting further and higher education students all over Ireland through SUSI, the national awarding authority for student grants.

➡Albeda is a large comprehensive school for intermediate vocational education (“MBO”) and adult education in Rotterdam. Here, approximately 20,000 students follow an education under the supervision of approximately 2,000 employees. Albeda College offers its students over 350 educations and qualification possibilities on 40 locations. Albeda organised their education in 13 colleges. Albeda delivers vocational education in the area of Healthcare, Welfare, Service Provisioning, Food, Technology and Economics. Albeda cooperates in various manners with various partners and in many areas. The objective of this cooperation is to improve the connection between the various types of education within a learning programme, but also to optimise the connection between education, government and the business community. Moreover, special programmes are developed to make education accessible to everybody. Albeda included internationalisation in the strategic policy plan as well as in the educational vision.

Partners have joined the 5th transnational meeting of DiTRAVET project that took place in Palermo, Italy, on the 31st January and 1st February.

They had an overview of the ongoing activities and decided on the next steps.

Now, partners are working on the second project result, which aims to create an online educational toolkit for students, teachers and school directors.
