In this continuation of the series, we discuss CNN's attempted about-face, the questionable power of doctors over their patients, a transgender man grieving the realization that he cannot become pregnant, Al Pacino's near-death experience, a TikToker's demon pronouns, and Washington D.C. realizing they can't keep eviction protections in place 5 years after the fact. We must never forget that the spiritual underpinning of the craziness in our world is the presence, power, and corrupting effect of sin. This is spiritual warfare, and we must all be engaged in the battle.

Perhaps most people paying close objective attention to fatal police interactions with black citizens would roll their eyes whenever Benjamin Crump gets involved, but today we will discuss two such incidents where the officers involved may actually be wrong and Crump's involvement, while not ideal, is understandable. In May and July of 2024 respectively, Roger Fortson and Sonya Massey were killed in their interactions with the police. What were the circumstances that led to their deaths? Were the killings justified? In today's episode of the Removing Barriers Podcast, we will discuss these questions and more, never forgetting that Fortson and Massey were both souls for which Christ died.

It is a mission field with unique challenges. The people are kind but wary of foreigners, making relationship building a necessary prerequisite to evangelism. Sawat is Thai himself, but the Christian faith is regarded with much suspicion, fueled by misunderstandings, ignorance, and a fear of (and commitment to) tradition. In spite of this, God has already begun working to open hearts and save souls, so join us on this episode to hear how the barriers are being removed one by one, bit by bit, one person at a time.

Even so, his conversation in this interview is rife with very disturbing declarations about very important subjects such as the nature of man, the nature of salvation, LGBTQIA issues, women's role in the church, and more. We must critically examine all that we hear in the world and hold it up to the scrutiny of scripture. In the latest episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we are sharing a previously unreleased interview with H (yes, that is his real name!), a man whose life story is a testament to the power of faith and the transformative impact of accepting Christ. H's journey is not just about his personal salvation but also about the myriad barriers he faced and overcame along the way.

H was born in rural North Louisiana, near the Ouachita River, in a time when the Great Depression had left its mark on every aspect of life. His early life was marked by his father, a strong and sturdy man, and his mother, a sweet and tender woman. They created a stable environment, albeit one without much religious influence. Despite the lack of regular church attendance in his family, H found his way to the local Baptist church, often hitching a ride from passing churchgoers. It was in this humble setting, with no electric lights and a preacher who only visited bi-monthly, that H first encountered the gospel. The message was simple yet profound: "Ye must be born again."

For anyone facing their own barriers to faith, H's story offers hope and encouragement. It underscores the idea that while we cannot force others to accept Christ, we can live our lives in a way that reflects His love and grace and proclaim the truth of the gospel that they may know the mercy and grace available in Christ and Christ alone.
