Samsung Galaxy M31s has been launched in India as the latest model in the company's Galaxy M series. The new smartphone, which is an upgrade to the Galaxy M31 that was launched in February, comes with a hole-punch display and features a quad rear camera setup. The Galaxy M31s also has a pre-installed Intelli-Cam feature to deliver an enhanced camera experience. Additionally, Samsung has provided two distinct RAM options. The Galaxy M31s also supports reverse charging and comes bundled with a 25W charger as well as a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable. Furthermore, the phone could compete against the likes of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Realme 6 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy M31s price in India has been set at Rs. 19,499 for the base 6GB RAM variant, while its 8GB RAM option carries a price tag of Rs. 21,499. Honor MagicBook 15 has been launched in India as the company's first notebook in the country.
comes with Windows 10 Home pre-installed. It has a 15.6-inch full-HD (1,920x1,080 pixels) IPS display with 87 percent screen to body ratio, TÜV Rheinland certification to reduce blue light effect, and 178-degree viewing angles. It is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor coupled with Radeon Vega 8 graphics, and 8GB of DDR4 dual-channel RAM. For storage, you get a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. It comes with a 65W charger that uses the laptops Type-C port for charging. Honor says it can be charged to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
You also get two-in-one fingerprint power button for secure logins and a pop-up we**am that can be covered when not in use. For connectivity, the Honor MagicBook 15 comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI port, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Honor MagicBook 15 is priced at Rs. 42,990 in India and will go on sale starting August 6 in a Mystic Silver colour. Oppo on Friday unveiled its first-ever smartwatch for the Indian market, the Oppo Watch. The smartwatch was launched alongside the Oppo Reno 4 Pro smartphone.
Built with 6000-series aluminium alloy frame, the Oppo Watch features a 1.91-inch rectangular 3D flexible AMOLED display on the 46mm model. It comes with 72.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio and offers 326PPi pixel density. The screen resolution stands at 420x476 pixels.
The Oppo Watch 41mm comes with a 1.6-inch AMOLED display and offers 301PPI pixel density.
The rear surface on the Oppo Watch features a combination of plastic and ceramic. The smartwatch packs a 430mAh battery, and the company claims it can offer up to 36 hours of battery life on smart mode while up to 21 days on Power Saver Mode. The Oppo Watch also comes with fast charging support and can charge fully in 75 minutes. The smartwatch packs Oppo's dual-chip Endurance System and supports the company's VOOC Flash Charging tech. It is water-resistant as well with 5ATM.
The Oppo Watch has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 14,990 for the 41mm variant while the 46mm option will come at Rs 19,990. The Oppo Watch will go on sale starting August 10.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro has been launched in India. The new smartphone, which comes as the successor to the Reno 3 Pro that debuted in March, features a hole-punch display design and a quad rear camera setup. The Oppo Reno 4 Pro also comes with the company's proprietary 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology. Oppo brought the Reno 4 Pro originally in China in June with a distinct list of specifications. The China variant came with triple rear cameras and included Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC.
Oppo Reno 4 Pro price in India has been set at Rs. 34,990 for the lone, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The phone comes in two different colour options, namely Starry Night and Silky White. It will go on sale in the country starting August 5 through various online and offline retail channels, including Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Paytm Mall, and Tata Cliq as well as Reliance Digital, among others.

Logitech MX Master 3 has been launched in India as the latest addition to the company's Master series of mice. The wireless mouse boasts of “ultrafast and ultraprecise scrolling” with the new MagSpeed scroll wheel. Logitech says it has a design that supports the users hand and wrist, providing a comfortable experience during long work sessions. The MX Master 3 features a 4,000 DPI sensor and a rechargeable battery that, as per the company, can last up to 70 days on a single charge. The MX Master 3 charges via a USB Type-C port.
The mouse is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. It can be paired with up to three devices at a time and can be switched between the three with the press of a button. You also get app-specific customisations for apps like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.

Qualcomm unveiled Quick Charge 5 as its new fast charging technology that is touted to charge devices from 0 to 50 percent in just five minutes. As a successor to Quick Charge 4+, unveiled back in June 2017, the new fast commercial charging technology is claimed to offer up to 10 percent cooler yet up to four times faster and up to 70 percent more efficient experience. It also supports 2S battery packs and is optimised for both USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) and USB Type-C technologies. Quick Charge 5 is currently in its testing phase, though devices based on the new technology are expected to debut starting the third quarter of this year.
The Quick Charge 5 technology supports more than 100W charging capabilities, while its predecessor Quick Charge 4+ supported 45W power. The new technology also has backward compatibility with Quick Charge 2.0 and later versions as well as handsets using an existing Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC.
Compared to the Quick Charge 4 and Quick Charge 4+, the Quick Charge 5 technology is claimed to offer up to a 10-degree Celsius cooler experience on a 4,000mAh battery. The new development is also rated to be 10 times more powerful than the first-generation Quick Charge tech.
The Quick Charge 5 technology is initially supported on Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 865+, and next-generation premium and high-tier Snapdragon mobile platforms. However, Qualcomm would enable its presence on devices based on Snapdragon 700-series and earlier generations in the future.

Vivo V19 has received a price cut in India just two months after in its launch in India. Vivo V19 is now priced in India at Rs. 24,990 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option and Rs. 27,990 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option. The original launch price of the device was Rs. 27,990 and Rs. 31,990, respectively. As mentioned, the 128GB model gets a price cut of Rs. 3,000, while the 256GB model gets a price cut of Rs. 4,000.
The new revised Vivo V19 prices are reflecting on the company's own e-store, Amazon, and Flipkart. Retailer Mahesh Telecom tweeted that the price cut has been introduced in retail outlets as well. The government may soon ban PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) in India. Reports suggesting a ban on 275 apps have started to surface online a month after the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps, including popular ones like TikTok, UC Browser, citing data security concerns.
The government on Monday banned 47 more Chinese apps that were clones of the earlier banned apps.Some of these include TikTok Lite, Helo Lite, ShareIt Lite, Bigo Lite and VFY Lite, all of which are reportedly unavailable on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. While PUBG is not a part of the list, it is said to be under the scanner.
The government is considering a ban on the battle royale format game over data security concerns. Several apps have been on the radar lately owing to alleged data-sharing practices with the Chinese government.
PUBG has been subject to heavy criticism several times in the past but for a different reason. After receiving several complaints from parents and guardians, some state governments across the nation put a temporary ban on the gaming app for its addictive nature that had a psychological impact on players, especially youngsters.

Dell has launched Alienware m15 R3 in India. The Alienware m15 R3 was globally unveiled in May and has now made its way to the country. Dell says the gaming laptop has been launched to cater to the developing market for gaming PCs in India.
The Alienware m15 R3 as per Dell, is the thinnest, lightest, and most powerful Alienware laptop. It comes with a 15.6-inch 4K OLED display with 60Hz refresh rate and 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. There is also an option for a full-HD (1,920x1,080 pixels) display with 300Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 300 nits brightness, and 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color gamut. Apple has started “manufacturing” the iPhone 11 in India, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted on Friday. The new development comes just a little over nine months after the Cupertino giant started the assembly line for the iPhone XR in the country. The local assembly of the iPhone 11 would help the company avoid a 20 percent tax that it is needed to pay for importing the handset from its global manufacturing facilities. Apple has Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron as the suppliers for its iPhone models that all are presently making huge investments in the Indian market.
“Significant boost to Make in India!” Goyal said in the tweet. “Apple has started manufacturing iPhone 11 in India, bringing a top-of-the-line model for the first time in the country.”
India has become an important market for all smartphone vendors, thanks to the fact that it already has over 50 crore smartphone users. Companies including Samsung and Xiaomi have already invested plenty of resources in the country to meet the growing demands of Indian consumers. The expansion of consumer demand has lately attracted Apple and its suppliers as well.

Realme 6i has been launched in India as the latest budget friendly smartphone in the company's lineup. The phone features an octa-core processor, four cameras on the back, and a hole-punch design for the selfie camera.
The Realme 6i comes in two RAM and storage configurations, 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB. The base 4GB variant is priced at Rs. 12,999 while the 6GB variant is priced at Rs. 14,999. The Realme 6i is available in two colour options namely, Eclipse Black and Lunar White. It will go on sale starting July 31 at 12pm (noon) via Flipkart and Realme India website. Asus ROG Phone 3 has been launched as the company's latest gaming smartphone. The new model has almost the same dimensions of last year's ROG Phone 2, yet it comes with various hardware-level upgrades. The Asus ROG Phone 3 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC and includes a GameCool 3 heat dissipating system with a redesigned copper 3D vapour chamber and a larger graphite film over what's available on the existing model. The gaming phone also features AirTrigger 3 ultrasonic buttons and includes dual, front-firing speakers. The ROG Phone 3 also comes with a clip-on AeroActive Cooler 3 accessory that has a kickstand and built-in fan to reduce the surface temperature by up to 4-degree Celsius.

Rocket League will soon be free-to-play. Epic Games-owned developer Psyonix has announced its football-meets-cars multiplayer video game is dropping its paywall later in summer 2020. When that happens, Rocket League will also move from Valve's PC distribution platform Steam to its counterpart, the Epic Games Store. While Steam Rocket League owners will still be able to play and download new updates, new PC players will need to download Rocket League from the Epic Games Store.

The new smartphone, which is the first in the company's “affordable smartphone product line”, comes in three distinct configurations. It is also touted to deliver a flagship camera experience. The OnePlus Nord comes with a hole-punch display design and flaunts quad cameras at the back. The phone also offers 5G connectivity.
The OnePlus Nord price in India starts at Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant that is exclusive to the country. The phone also comes in 8GB + 128GB storage option at Rs. 27,999 and the top-of-the-line, 12GB + 256GB storage model at Rs. 29,999. There are two colour options to choose from, namely Blue Marble and Gray Onyx; however only the 8GB and 12GB RAM model will get both options, the base variant will only be sold in Gray Onyx colour.

HP has introduced OMEN 15 laptop as it piggybacks on the sudden upsurge in the gaming industry, thanks to the lockdown.
HP is putting out all the stops with the Omen 15. It comes with a 15-inch up to 4K UHD AMOLED display with 180-degree bending ability, 300Hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync for the better gaming experience. HP is also selling a toned-down version with Full-HD resolution on the display with everything else intact.

Nikon has unveiled Nikon Z5 mirrorless camera and NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 camera lens in India via an official press release.
Nikon Z5 uses the Z-mount and is part of Z series mirrorless cameras. The Z5 is said to be an amalgamation of features which are included in Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7. The Z5 has both automation and full manual controls.
The new Z5 camera packs a 24-megapixel CMOS sensor, expeed 6 image processor, human detection AF, animal AF and more. The Z5 has in-body image stabilization (IBIS) which can reduce shake by up to five stops for better handheld shots.
Nikon Z5 has a large OLED viewfinder and a 3.2-inch touch screen display. The Z5 features dual SD-card slots as well. For video recording, the Z5 can shoot 4K/30p video and for FHD videos, the camera uses full width of the image sensor. Nikon Z5 is the same size and weight, 675 grams, as the Nikon Z6 camera model.
For the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 lens, it is a full-frame format zoom lens designed for mirrorless cameras. A compact and light in weight, at 195 grams, the new NIKKOR Z lens features a button-less retractable mechanism. NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 is weather-proof as well.

Reliance Jio has launched its first augmented reality-enabled glasses Jio Glass in India at the 43rd AGM. The Jio Glass is an answer to Snap's Spectacles 3 that was launched earlier this month but have comparatively more use cases. Unlike Snap's Spectacles 3, Jio Glass is centred on video calls amid the sudden surge in demands for remote communications using videos amid the covid-19 pandemic. Jio Glass uses 3D holographic images of participants in a video call in a setup that is driven by mixed reality.
Jio says its high-tech glasses will let people join video conferences in a more streamlined and advanced way by holographically appearing in them. But participants can also join video meetings via their regular video feed, showing a use case for mixed reality, which is a combination of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. The Jio Glass will be tethered using a mobile phone that can also be used to share files and presentations with participants. And there will be support for demonstrating presentations within Jio Glass. Jio Glass will be available to both individuals and businesses in India.
The Jio Glass weighs in at 75 grams and comes with spatial audio, so the meetings have crystal clear audio. The smart glasses support all audio and video formats and support 25 video conferencing and collaboration apps, one of them being JioMeet that was launched recently as an answer to Zoom. There are high-resolution frame screens in place of regular lenses.
Jio has not said anything about when the Jio Glass will ship to customers or what it will be priced at. For reference, the Snap Spectacles cost Rs 29,999 in India, which means the Jio Glass will be priced lower than that.

Watch Dogs Legion will become the latest entrant in the hacker based Watch Dogs series on October 29. The company at its Ubisoft Forward event showcased a new gameplay trailer of the game. Ubisoft is promising that you'll be able to “Play as Anyone” on Watch Dogs: Legion, allowing you to recruit and play as anyone you see in its open world based on the English capital. That could be a MI6 agent, football fan, hacker, or even an old lady, Ubisoft said in its announcement.
On Legion, London has been taken over by criminal entities after a series of bombings, which have been blamed on a secret underground resistance called DedSec. As a member of DedSec, your mission is to liberate the city and find out who the real terrorists are.
Watch Dogs: Legion will be available in October on PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC via Epic, Uplay, and as part of Ubisoft's subscription service, Uplay+. It will be a launch title on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Legion will support cross-platform buy. That means PS4 or Xbox One players will get a free copy on the PS5 or Xbox Series X, respectively.
Legion costs Rs. 4,000 on consoles and $44 (about Rs. 3,300) on Epic.

Ubisoft dropped the first trailer for its free-to-play, first-person shooter battle royale game Hyper Scape at the Ubisoft Forward event.
The game takes place in the year 2054 in Neo-Arcadia, a virtual city where players can battle each other using a wide variety of guns, gear and special abilities. The game will feature at least two ways to win: either be the last player standing or capture the crown that appears near the end of the match. Those that can hold on to the crown for a certain period of time will come out victorious.
The game will also be heavily integrated with Twitch, allowing viewers to vote on "game-changing effects" that will impact the match. Other features that will be added soon include Squad invite and Battle Pass progression.
The Open Beta for Microsoft Windows is now open, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions coming sometime in the future.
