RIP Queen Elizabeth II and thank you.

Borrowed from a friend

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as I whispered that "I know"

I then turned and looked behind me,
and seen I was asleep.
All my Family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with My Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where King's and Queens,
are Monarch's every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the peoples friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our Palace up above.

Rest in peace to our Queen ❤️
God Save The King.

If you are caring for someone, unpaid, and they or you live in Hertfordshire, then we would appreciate hearing about your experiences of caring and ask you to complete our short survey. We have a survey for adult carers at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JK3SJMT and one for young carers aged 18 and under at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/YM9Z6RJ or call us on 01992 58 69 69 to discuss completing it over the phone or getting a copy by post.
Your responses will help us identify if we should adapt our services to meet any apparent needs and to show other organisations why supporting carers is so important. You can reply anonymously or provide your details and be entered into a prize draw. Thank you for your support.

The sports stars of Stevenage are celebrated in a 10-week exhibition that begins on July 2 at the town's museum.
The exhibition is based on my book Town's Got Talent, which was published in October and was revised recently.
It is packed with interviews and profiles of the legions of top sports talent from the town - including F! champion Sir Lewis Hamilton, Ryder Cup golfer Ian Poulter,
The museum aims to have some hands-on sports sessions such as 'putt like Poulter' and sports-related arts projects for young sports enthusiasts.
Curator Jo Ward and her staff have been working hard for months to pull the exhibition and there may be star names dropping by or lending their support, so watch out on the museum website.

The mural on the leisure centre walkway was my inspiration to write the book and this exhibition is a great way to turn the focus on not just the talent the town has produced but to inspire youngsters - and some not so old - to engage in sport .

We need to get people off their sofas and phones and to try sports for health reasons.

The book is on sale in the museum shop and the exhibition runs from July 2 -September 17.

It’s and this year’s theme is Making Caring Visible, Valued and Supported. We urge anyone providing unpaid care to a relative, friend, or someone close to them, as they are ill, disabled, elderly, or misuse drugs or alcohol, to connect with services like ours so they get the information or support they need or are entitled to. In addition to providing advice and information, we offer one to one and group support and workshops or events. You can find out more about our services at www.carersinherts.org.uk or call us on 01992 58 69 69.
