Never even been to one. I've been to a half dozen WrestleMania's but never the Rumble.

The Iron Claw - The Story of the Von Erich Family hits theaters on Dec 22nd.

Always been a fan of the Von Erich wrestling family so I personally am looking forward to this film.

I’m someone who enjoys the investment a tournament in wrestling takes.

But it’s gotta have stakes. Mean something. Can’t just be “hey I won. Now what?”

AEW announces the Continental Classic, a round robin, 2 group tournament style that will supply content for months.

But why? What’s the winner get? Why is called a Continental Classic? Can it please not be another idea where NJPW guys come over, get no build, do minimal jobs, and go home leaving no one in AEW in a better position than when they arrived? Please not another championship either.

Obviously not just a tournament designed for breakout talent since Bryan Danielson is already announced.

So what is it?

Vince McMahon files to sell $700 million worth of shares in $tko. No this doesn’t mean he’s leaving or retiring. That huge amount is only 30% of his shares.

Yes the stock price will take a dip. Nick Khan has even addressed this in interviews when saying the public will likely think something negative is about to happen after Vince sold a large chunk. TKO, executives & others plan to buy large amounts of what Vince sells.

So what’s it mean?

It means Vince is 78 years old and money today is worth more than money tomorrow. I’m not sure if he could spend that amount before he passes. But every dream or legacy goal he’s had financially is now attainable.

Buy the dip now. TKO will ABSOLUTELY top $100 come Mania season.

is a helluva athlete. The real test is going to be when he’s not in the ring with 10+ year vets who can walk him through a good match.

Ever accidentally buy a box of AEW Spectrum when picking up card supplies at the local shop & then just open it in the parking lot?

Not a terrible box. But 7 cards for the whole box is kinda beat. Imagine being the guy who pulls the referee auto or one of the Dark all stars. Risky business.

As a child I had zero. Now as an adult in the wrestling merchandise business, I’ve owned hundreds …sorta.

Here’s another blast from the past.

Trivia Question:
What was the first wrestling magazine published in the United States?

You guessed it! Wrestling As You Like It was the first pro wrestling magazine series in the US.

It was first published way back in 1946 and I believe the only wrestling publication that survived through the war.

This issue is from 1953. Features Lou Thesz vs Pat O’Connor on the cover. Inside more Gorgeous George coverage, Baron Leone, and everyone’s favorite..The Zebra Kid.

This series issues were only a few pages but they did their best to cover the territories. Highly recommend checking one out, if only to experience what it was like back then!
