It's been a minute. It's actually been more than a minute. It's been about six months since I quit my PhD. I still don't regret it. I've been doing some soul searching about what I want to do next. Music and videos have always been something that I want to do, but I didn't know what to make music and videos about.⠀
⠀
For the most part, I've always tried to be neutral on social media. I've tried to avoid positions that might offend someone. But am I really adding any value if I don't talk about the things that I care about?⠀
⠀
My studies cemented that one of the things I am passionate about is a healthy dialogue about controversial topics. I believe strongly that we have to be able to talk about things that we are passionate about in a civil way to have a healthy country and society. We have to comprise. And we can't do that if we aren't willing to listen to each other.⠀
⠀
So I am pivoting my social platforms to talk about those things. I'll be making videos and posting about politics, religion, and society. My goal is to provide a safe space to talk about sensitive topics in a respectful manner... with some other stuff in between.⠀
⠀
If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, no worries. I won't be offended. You can unfollow me. If it is something you're interested in, check out some of my most recent videos or my blog and let me know what you think. There's a link in the bio. ⠀
⠀
Thanks for being on this journey with me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
