This YA novel tells us the story of Cole who goes to spend time with his dad who is a cowboy in the city of Philadelphia. The book is great for young readers, but the movie takes a more adult look at the story. They each cover topics such as divorce, gangs, racism, as well as the importance of family and community. As well as, of course, caring for horses!
In the end, was the YA novel better than the R rated take on the story? Or did I prefer the more adult side of the story. Listen to the podcast and find out!
