has been writing a weekly blog for us for the last few weeks about his XC journey, make sure your head to our website to catch up on these very entertaining blogs, thanks to Tadhg for taking the time to write for us. You can learn a little about Tadhg below as he answers out 'Not so rapid, rapid fire questions.

Road, track, xc: I’m trying to broaden my horizons but Road is where I’m most comfortable.

Favourite shoe brand : I’m not very loyal when it comes to my daily trainers, I’ve got a pair of NB, Saucony and ASICS in my current rotation. However when it comes to race day it’s always Nike

Miles or Kms: Miles

Who's the most famous person in your phone contact list: I’ve had the privilege of working with many of Ireland’s top visual artists and so have ended up with a weighty phone list. I might say Cork’s Aideen Barry, who will curate the content on RTE this Friday for Culture Night, as she is highly acclaimed within the art world.

Favourite Distance: I love 10 miles, it’s that nice comfortably hard pace

FAVOURITE Race: The East Cork Road Championships in 2022. We won the team race and it was some buzz running together with the lads in a pack.

Do you prefer training in hot or cold weather? Definitely hot 🌞

Are you a morning runner or an evening runner: Evening. I’m not a morning person

3 people you would like to have a meal and drink with: I’ve been writing articles on famous athletes over the last couple of years https://sites.google.com/site/carraignabhfearac/news/on-the-shoulders-of-giants
So I might pick three of those athletes - Emil Zatopek, the great Czech athlete who won Olympic Gold in 5000m, 10000m and Marathon, Wilma Rudolph, the most incredible of stories, and Ron Hill (I’d plague him with questions about training).

Favourite book or movie : In my opinion the best running book is ‘What I Talk About When I Talk About Running’, by Haruki Murakami. Absolutely brilliant. And great as an audiobook as well.

IF you could take the place of another person in their greatest sporting moment who would it be and why? Paul McGrath Ireland vs Italy Giants Stadium 1994. At the peak of his powers.

A few years back this Lion lit up our world and for one weekend the running community of Ireland ran and walked for Warren. It was an inspiring and uplifting weekend and we were brought together by the strength of this warrior. Of course Warren's connections to the running community through and brings his story a bit closer to us all. Leona tells us here on how charities such as Crumlin helped them at their hour of need. This week and this weekend you once again can support Warren and many kids like him. See details below. We will add links into our story and Bio too.

There is 2 ways to help us with our goal

1. Head to our .ie page where you can donate anything you can
https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/TheRunnersDiaryPodcast2

2. Purchase our tshirt from RWsports.com for €30, €15 from each purchase goes between the 2 charities
