This week, I’m packing up my books, my notes, and a sensible pair of shoes and heading to the Taylor University Professional Writers Conference! For the first time ever, both of my books will be at the same table—side by side, like proud siblings at a family reunion, hopefully getting along.

I’m excited to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and soak up all the inspiration I can for my current work-in-progress (and maybe a few story ideas that like to show up when I’m supposed to be sleeping).

I’ll also be teaching a couple of sessions, which means I get to talk about something I love with people who love it too. My goal is to encourage and uplift—and if we happen to laugh along the way, even better.
