Last Friday I ran the first Instagram Workshop, in Sunderland, and it went down a storm! 💥
And it got me thinking about my own business insta for my Baby Massage business, My Kid Rocks. Not the practical stuff, I'm fine with that, but the WHO, WHY and WHAT of it all.
🤔 Who follows me?
🤷♀️ Why would anyone follow me?
And
💁♀️ What value is my content giving them?
Now, when I say,'Why would anyone follow me?' I'm not saying that in despair, I'm being curious and going deep.
📝Try it. Get a piece of paper and answer these questions.
Ask yourself, without despair,
❓️Why would anyone follow your account?
❓️What do they get from following you?
❓️How valuable is your content to them?
❓️What keeps them coming back?
❓️How does it connect with them personally?
❓️What hooks them in?
❓️What is their reason for following you?
Then add in the word 'could' to each question.
❓️What COULD they get from following you? Etc.
Doing this is making me switch up what I post.😊
I know that only about 50% of my clients use social media, so what I have been doing in the past is making sure I have a presence that informs people about my classes.
Making sure everything they need to know is available to them with a quick scroll down my grid.
I've used it as a reference point for anyone who comes across it.
And I've kept going with it, despite knowing the majority of my ideal clients are not on insta, for 3 reasons.
1. Because I like it
2. Because people talk and word of mouth is powerful.
3. It will come up in a Google search
But, what can I be doing to give people more of a REASON to follow me?
Cos I still want to grow my following with the right people...
By giving them more VALUABLE content -
✅️ Tips and learning takeaways,
✅️ Really relateable emotional connection.
✅️ Giving them that sense of feeling seen - that sense of community.
This matters more to me now as I'm about embark on training to offer a new service in 2025, and I'm really excited about it!
And I wanted to share this to let you all know that it's important that we ALL re-evaluate periodically.
It's not a case of you nail it and that's it. We are all constantly learning.
The platforms are constantly evolving, as are our businesses and our ideal clients!
Change can be good.
Let me know if this has helped you think differently about your Instagram.

Feb 24 Lozza Mac did the Vision Board training for you all and loads of you made vision board TO HELP WITH DIRECTION, FOCUS AND TEACH YOU HOW POWERFUL YOU ARE!
She told you to dream big and now worry about the HOW just believe that it CAN and WILL.
🤔 AND HOW DOES LOZZA KNOW??
Those teeny tiny arrows are pointing to a teeny tiny Taylor Swift in an Eras Tour outfit on Lozza’s Vision Board.
She didn’t know why she put her on cause she wasn’t going to Doha and her plans didn’t align with any UK/EUROPE dates! 🤷🏼♀️ Lozza just knew she wanted to take her daughter.
THEN her dates changed and at some point in April/May Lozza realised she’d be in London when she Taylor was at Wembley BUT she’d sold out/tickets were INSANE money!
So, what did Lozza and her 8 year old do?
🎤 they talked about going and told people.
💃🏼 they planned our outfits and did the bracelets
🪩 they acknowledged signs when we were directed to anything Eras.
💻 Lozza stayed positive and checked resales
💸 Lozza grafted and put a budget to one side whilst her 8 year old replied ‘YES’ anytime someone asked her if she was going.
💪🏻 they didn’t give up. Even when it looked unlikely at times.
THEN with only over a week to go - IT HAPPENED!! THEY GOT TICKETS!
