A big thank you to the Yogurt Mill for their cool contribution of $3,110.80 toward MoBand's seat replacement project. Mallory Mello from the Yogurt Mill presented the generous gift to MoBand board members and representatives from Modesto’s Parks and Recreation Department earlier today.

The new seats have been enjoyed by MoBand fans and many community groups that use Mancini Bowl. The new seating was installed in Mancini Bowl at Modesto’s Graceada Park in time for the 2023 MoBand Summer season.

Modesto Police Traffic Safety Unit Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

This morning, around 8:30 a.m., a 2012 Dodge Ram truck traveling eastbound on Snyder Avenue struck a bicyclist, leaving him critically injured. The bicyclist, a 79-year-old Modesto man, was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Dodge Ram initially remained at the scene of the crash and denied involvement before leaving the area. However, through the investigation, it was determined that she was indeed driving the pickup at the time of the crash. The driver was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center and is being charged with felony hit-and-run causing death and vehicular manslaughter.
