An endless stream of music for only £9.99 a month would've sounded like a dream back to us in our Limewire / war on music piracy days - but is it still the dream we once thought it was? Has music lost its value as an artform in favour of convenience? Our hosts touched on the subject during their most recent exchange 🤔

In this episode, the hosts discuss the 2014 album "Dark Comedy" by alternative Hip Hop artist Open Mike Eagle. The conversation goes all over the place, with David continuously asking KaeDee why he suggested it, alongside topics regarding the underground's influence on the mainstream, the scope of human history/technology, the homogenisation of movies, (thanks to Marvel, even though we love 'em) and more!

For this week's solo outing, KaeDee reflects on the album "Dangerous" by Michael Jackson.

These are meant to be shorter style episodes, but get KaeDee talking Michael Jackson and any period of time under a whole day is "short". Discussing what Michael has meant to him from the first moment of exposure all the way to the present day, why this album still holds up, and why we should reframe certain ways we think about Mike and his music, KaeDee dives deep into his personal views regarding the "Dangerous" era.

We are back! A first episode of 2022 where we discuss the impressive live Jimi Hendrix album "Band of Gypsies".

This episode starts as well as you can imagine, but then it goes all over the place. We talk movies, live performances, phone obsessions, miserable Christmases, Spider Man, Marvel and new podcast ideas. It was the first time the hosts had spoken in 5-6 weeks so we were just happy to chat again.

SPOILER ALERT for the newest Spider Man film. Despite having not seen the film, David let slip a widely reported spoiler that he'd seen on the timeline, so listen at your own risk.

Enjoy!

This episode definitely came through at the right time, with this week marking the 10th anniversary of Drake's seminal album "Take Care". In this solo review, touches on how Drake's lyrics touch on a few deeper topics than his later material, and how he showcases his personality and humanity more than he does currently...

Do you agree, whether Drake fan or not? Has he become too much of a commercial juggernaut that he's lost his touch with the people?
