An endless stream of music for only £9.99 a month would've sounded like a dream back to us in our Limewire / war on music piracy days - but is it still the dream we once thought it was? Has music lost its value as an artform in favour of convenience? Our hosts touched on the subject during their most recent exchange 🤔

Jay-Z's known for his braggadocio, but KaeDee wants to make it known that Sean has way more in his chamber than just brags (which he's entitled to at this point) 🤷

Well, we got David to revisit the MCU Spider Man story, so now the question is....what did he think?

Does some music give you a feeling of nostalgia, to the point that you can’t even listen to it anymore?

This episode definitely came through at the right time, with this week marking the 10th anniversary of Drake's seminal album "Take Care". In this solo review, @kaedee94 touches on how Drake's lyrics touch on a few deeper topics than his later material, and how he showcases his personality and humanity more than he does currently...
Do you agree, whether Drake fan or not? Has he become too much of a commercial juggernaut that he's lost his touch with the people?

Is it screaming or is it "rock singing" as David corrected KaeDee on during this part of the discussion? Do you have any misconceptions / biases regarding other genres outside of your usual scope?

A lot of artists don’t even own the rights to the music THEY made (rappers and producers included). Instead it goes to the labels who then have full reign over what they can do with that music…something that A$AP Rocky touches on beautiful in the opening song of his sophomore album “AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP” ✍️

Should art made by “bad people” or anyone who’s done what we consider “bad” (on any part of the spectrum) be banned? In the wake of R. Kelly’s recent guilty verdict, we questioned the implications of our current #CancelCulture approach, as well as the tackle the issues surrounding the censorship of art and the artists themselves 🤔

We continue our return to form with the album "GO:OD AM" by Mac Miller. This episode was an absolute monster to edit as we had to do it in 3 different sittings over a week!
The tangents are heavy in this one where we explore the the various themes thrown out by the late great artist. We discuss Aleister Crowley, hologram performances, becoming desensitised to art, the "college rap" era and much more.
We are also careful to pay homage to a really talented artist and it was a joy to explore the open and honest material that Malcolm delivered.
