Join us on Friday, September 13th for a night of chilling encounters and historical discoveries as you delve into the haunted corridors of a once-notorious mob hideout. Your evening includes a guided ghost tour, a séance, and a storytelling session that intertwines the inn’s sinister history with paranormal activities and ghostly whispers. Enjoy pizza, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverages as part of this spine-tingling experience.

About the Haunting

Kenyon's harbors over 130 years of history, original fixtures, and... ghosts. At first, skeptics—both visitors and employees—laughed off the tales of the paranormal. But their laughter soon turned to gasps as they encountered eerie phenomena: strange noises, disembodied voices, visions of a spectral woman in white, shadowy apparitions, and objects moving of their own accord.

Legend has it that numerous spirits dwell within the resort—ghosts of gang members, their victims, past employees, and unlucky souls.

It's been almost two weeks since my knee replacement, and if I said I'd spent this time glamorously in beautiful pajamas, writing a novel while recuperating, I'd be fibbing. Truth is, it's been cozy tees, shorts, and a half-hearted Hallmark Channel on loop as I drift into memories of past holidays and every regret, including this knee surgery. Brutal honesty, right? These days feel never-ending, each night even longer. Chuck's been an absolute angel, juggling refilling my ice machine cooler and coaxing me to eat a few bites, gently nudging me toward the shower and a hair conditioning session. It's not glamorous or romantic, but hey, marriage is the full package – the good, the bad, and the not-so-glam.

Tomorrow is when our house transforms into a haven for family – Connor, Serenity, Micaela, Cora, and our grandson Benny will grace us with their presence. Unfortunately, Cora and Micaela's husbands are both under the weather, while Molly and Kyle are off living their Alaskan dream. With my dad's passing, our menu's taken a different turn. Over the years, traditions have shifted with the loss of loved ones. It used to be a bustling house, filled with chatter, chicken noodle soup simmering away, ham for sandwiches, potato salad, fruit cake (yes, fruit cake!), the treasured family fudge, and every dessert imaginable.

This year, it's a pot roast, roasted potatoes and carrots, some store-bought chicken, rolls, and yep, every dessert imaginable. Some things stay constant, I suppose. We've tried to simplify things as best we can. In the past, there'd be games, music, drinks, and we'd call it a night way past midnight. This time, it feels like a mellow affair, everyone heading home well before midnight.

And here's where the tears have been tap-dancing on my emotions this past week. Chuck and I found ourselves deep in reflection about past holiday annoyances, a journey that's brought forth laughter and a few teary break downs. The beauty lies in how those irritating moments of yesteryears have now evolved into cherished memories, intertwined with our shared history. Time has this magical knack for blunting the sting of frustrations, transforming them into stories that bind us closer together.

As we prepare to welcome our loved ones, I'm reminded that the magic of Christmas doesn't just live in the past; it's in the making of new memories today. Despite the changes and shifts in traditions, the essence of togetherness remains unwavering. So, here's to the next couple days, where laughter will echo through the halls, where love will fill every corner, and where new moments will weave themselves into the tapestry of our cherished memories. Merry Christmas, everyone. Here's to the magic of now and the beauty of what's to come.

I believe in you,
Kristy Robinett

PS - I still feel like a baby doe, but I'm now walking with a cane and have my first check up on Tuesday and start out of home PT. Thanks for all the love!
