Most of the recent videos were showing the automated simulation, where units are controled by AI. This time we would like to concentrate on movements done by human players, movement types and general rules.

Some natural resource renewal (5%) seems to result in building stable provinces (Attached visualizations of states, provinces and natural resources). Results come from turn 186, but it seems that even after 400 turns the situation doesn't change much.

EDIT: I've also added an image presenting the natural resource values during nomadic expansion. The expanding tribes (between red lines) have almost no resources, while in the area behind them you can already notice partial renewal (this is exactly the area with "stable" provinces).

I'm happy to announce, that our video about creation of accurate maps is finally available. The result is generated in the Editor basing on 4 bitmap files containing: climate, topography, forest coverage and river courses. All those data can be found online and after fast image processing we have the input files.

From time to time it's good to show some progress to confirm, that the project is still alive. We are happy to present current stage of the development.

As a part of the project we are also preparing a map editor operating on 256-color bitmaps. It allows to import images corresponding to real maps as well as process them in a convenient manner. GUI tiles used for the project will be later reused for the main simulation program.
