These two books by Yuval Noah Harari have received worldwide acclaim and have been praised for their insights into the history and future of humankind.

The first book, Sapiens, looks at the evolution of our species and covers three fundamental moments that set Homo sapiens apart from all other species: the cognitive revolution, which kickstarted the development of human culture and history; the agricultural revolution, which shaped humans as social actors; and the scientific revolution, which defined the era we now live in

2nd Homo Deus, where the argument is made that data and algorithms can be seen as a new ideology or religion. “If gods can possess the land and employ people, why not algorithms?” asks Harari. This question is more than a provocation, though. Today we are already seeing how humans can’t cope with the amount of data that is produced and necessary to organize society. We have given up control of this data to complex computer-based infrastructure, to a system that can make sense of all the data much better than any human possibly could do. What’s left for us humans? Being smart enough to protect us from the data. “In ancient times having power meant having access to data. Today having power means knowing what to ignore”. My humble advice doesn’t ignore these two books.

In an era where movies continue to use CGI to heighten their experiences, one director stands in their way. It’s not that dramatic, but seeing how Christopher Nolan uses mostly practical effects with a blend of CGI to them, helps his films in aging well. I mean, we are talking about the man who thought crashing an actual plane would be better than using CGI (Nolan, I beg you, please don’t drop the Atom Bomb 😂 for the sake of practicality in Oppenheimer). Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Thursday recommended the removal of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain from the post of party president.

Sources privy to the matter said a meeting of the PML-Q central working committee was held, which was chaired by Senator Kamil Ali Agha.

The meeting recommended the removal of Chaudhry Shujaat from the post of President and Tariq Bashir Cheema from the post of General Secretary.

In the meeting, it was decided to hold new party elections in ten days.

For inter-party elections, a 5-member Election Commission was established. While Jahangir A Joja will be the Election Commissioner.
