I have always had such a hard time spending money on myself 🤦🏽‍♀️ I get koa everything he needs and more but struggle to buy myself even the simplest of things. So this week I went out and got some new clothes! Such a nice (much needed) boost of confidence in myself. Reminding myself that I’m doing amazing and I deserve to treat myself! ❤️❤️

Would anyone be down to join a Facebook group that teen moms can come to for advice and make friends?
My goal is to create a non profit for teen mothers and their babies. We’ll teach them life and relationship skills. As well as the basics of parenting and how important prioritizing yourself really is!

Sometimes in life we get soap in our eyes, some claim that their blind and let it define them, others live life pretending it never happened. But the very few become aware of it and go through the temporary pain of washing out their eyes.
Washing out your eyes is hard, but living with denial is even worse.

Does anyone else remember bits and pieces of their childhood that felt so special then and now realizing how simple it truly was? Koa with cousins on the forth of July while papa filled up their containers to pour out onto the grass. It’s always the little things that make the biggest impacts and help us feel the most love. We live life for those moments. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Back when my baby was actually a baby😭🥰 its crazy to say that I’ve had koa boy for 2 years. The growth and changes I’ve seen in myself wouldn’t have happened like they did if I hadn’t had Koa. I recently got a life coach and already achieved a few of my 4 month goals! I used to think being a good mom/person was bending over backwards for everyone else. But truly working on you self helps every single teeny tiny aspect of life! I’ve seen it first hand and it’s blowing my mind. Loving yourself is the single most thing you can do to be there for others. It took me a long time to realize, and I encourage you to try it for yourself. Because you deserve it.❤️

I always wonder if I’m in the good old days, when koa was 2 and we still lived with my parents. In moments like this, him in my lap cuddling, I realize how precious this time is. Life goes by so fast so let’s savor today as if it was one of those good old days... because it is 🥰

Visual representation of how life gets sometimes.
Within the same week I started with my first life coach to get me on track to achieve my 4 month goals.
Then two days into the week and Koa has a seizure in the night. Then later in the same week the hard drive with all of my photos and videos ejected wrong and lost basically everything.
Surprisingly enough I don’t feel stressed out. And I don’t feel over whelmed. I’ve been genuinely focusing on myself and future goals. Which has helped me to embrace the set backs on the way.
Here are the positives of those two situations. For one, Koas seizure happened at 3 in the morning on my day off. So I got to be with him all day and had enough time to get the following day off.
My parents were home to take me to the hospital and there was no wait at the ER.
My flash drive lost all of my files but luckily I didn’t have any big photo shoots stored on there.
Both situations taught me a lot. And I’m glad they both happened.
Now I know Koa is prone to having seizures and can know exactly what to do if he or any one else has one. Also I will be extra careful ejecting my hard drive and backing up all of my photos and videos.
It’s fun to look at the positive side of things! @ Timpanogos Regional Hospital
