Hi. It's been a while.
Where have I been, what have I been doing? Yeah, about that... So it may seem as no surprise to anyone but I started a new project, shocker. It feels like I constantly do that sometimes because I do. A lot has happened in the last few months, quite the portfolio of failed or boring projects including everything from bumper cars to a game where you launch chickens.
I've been making games for over 4 years now I started with a dingy laptop and some knock off version of RPG Maker, which I can't remember the name of anymore, and now I sit here with more computing power and knowledge of computers and technology than I ever expected to have. I started making games because I was bored of all the nonsense out there, the same good games got old, and the new ones bland or reskins of others, so with no actual computer knowledge other than using Firefox's 'Embedded Elements' to change the words on a webpage (Thanks Dillon) I started out on a journey I hoped be more productive. Have I gotten real far? No. Not production wise that is for certain. But I have learned far more than I ever thought I would. I've mastered my own art style, and learned an entire game engine from the ground up. Do I know everything? No, I learn more every time I sit down and start working on something.
In the last 4 years there has been a lot of ideas, 95% of which has failed, there is only two games on my itch that are even partially "good" in my own opinion.
What I'm currently working on is an amalgamation of all the "good" ideas I've had. I'm essentially going back to Big Crazy Guns and Zombies but putting aside all the wild things I had in mind at the time and pulling the good parts of other games I've worked on like Bit Dungeon (which recently came to my attention used a copyrighted name, oops) and Bit Royale.
So here's to the future, where I hope to see this project finished one day. lets face it, that probably won't happen, but I can hope. I'll be revealing a bit more of the game soon, so stick around for that.
