We have a new release to share with you – THE SEED. Filmed over a span of ten years by long-term grantee and fellow at Still I Rise Films Helene Goupil, THE SEED tells the story of Guy Clark, who has been selling flowers on the same corner for 40 years.

When Clark is priced out of his neighborhood and evicted, he struggles to navigate the maze of waitlists for affordable housing. Through the years, Clark experiences a changing city and reflects on what matters most.

The animation was created by another talented grantee, Theint (Cynthia) Soe.

We are releasing THE SEED jointly with one of our non-profit partners, Mission Local, an irreplaceable independent news site in San Francisco.
