SHOOT WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!!!
As a avid small game hunter, i often hear how a 12g is "overkill" or " it'll damage all the meat", even "if you were good you would use a .22.
But I have come to find that the right shot shell just barely breaks the skin and still knocks them out of the tree. It's easier to let my 5yr old tromps behind me, and yell "DAD!, There one goes!" As I can pop one on the run. Dont get me wrong, there is something to be said about sharp shooting a busheytail that has no clue your there
But the trade off of easier to shoot boom stick and not having to *hush boy* my son every 5 steps to get a good stalk, is more than worth it when we limit out, get doughnuts and are resting 3hrs after sunrise. Shoot what makes you happy. Others can just be grumpy..
