Have you heard of “scenario planning”? 🤔Well, it’s one of the ways you can deepen your conversations with your partner to explore their thoughts on potential things that can pop up.
It doesn’t end after dating. These days, I ask about what we’d do if we won a million dollars. It hasn’t happened(yet 😜), but when one of us receives a bonus, we don’t think too much about what to do with it because we’ve already talked about our plans for extra money. If you’re struggling to talk about money or not sure how to ask deep questions, try phrasing them as scenarios to explore.

Wild times. Yes, unfortunately there’s a version of Christianity that’s more about imagery and power and less about the infilling of the holy Spirt that allows this to thrive. No spirit filled, thinking person assumes that they can sin perpetually - be adulterous over 20 times (that he can remember)and truly be pleasing God.
And about leaving. For her sanity, for the potential diseases, it’s the sane thing to leave. But here’s where I struggle. I’ve heard testimonies of people in sh*tty situations that felt strongly God said stay. It wasn’t about powerlessness, but more about obedience. And I hate that I even bring that up, but I have to acknowledge that a huge part of this faith walk is illogical.
I think balance looks like at least separating. And the man being subject to serious church discipline - he should have leaders above him holding him accountable and should not be a pastor. He should be in therapy. He should be going for deliverance. And because we’re called to love, the church should be praying for his restoration too.

Knowing that “You attract who you are” is exactly why you need to call yourself to a higher standard. You can’t fake yourself too long.

If you’re really trying to keep things pure, don’t prolong dating unnecessarily.
My $0.02 are:
- Wait to date till you can marry.
- Invite wise counsellors into your relationship.
- Don’t prolong dating assuming that as you grow in emotional intimacy it won’t be incredibly difficult to skip physical intimacy.
You’ll need to listen to the full thing for more context. I’m also not saying rush to marry to have sex… because that can be disastrous.

There are too many people who think like this and that is why Sex can wait when you’re dating. Don’t make babies with people who don’t want to be parents. Have conversations around what life together would look like! When Nick Canon has another baby, ask your boo what he thinks about that whole situation. As a therapist and counsellor I’m faced daily with the damage caused by men that think like this , kids need their fathers and mothers (preferably together) , raising children is not a woman’s job , it’s the parents job, if it takes TWO to make the children it also requires two to raise them , the statistics are bad for children growing in single parent homes (Google for yourself please)
This thinking is the height of irresponsibility ,these men just want freedom to have multiple sexual partners , just know that this “new ‘ trend of many baby mamas , or polygamy or living in two or three houses that is reigning in lekki and Nigeria is not really new , as you quote Abraham , Solomon and co from bible also quote the consequences of their actions
If this guy can have 9 kids from different women then he can attend recitals , it’s not time he lacks but self control”
