CAMP TERROR

This adventure tries to emulate the feeling of the classic horror films, capturing the essence of the 1980s slasher genre. Remote location? Check. Typical young people led to slaughter? Absolutely. Terrifying killer with a blade? Double-check.

This is not an adventure about working together or defeating an underground lair full of
foes and taking their stuff. Instead, the expectation is for the players to make their charac-
ters—the campers—do stupid stuff. The fun in this game is the inventive and novel ways the
campers get killed. Only a lucky few will survive. This is by design. Enjoy it.
And whatever you do, never, ever, say, “I’ll be right back...”

Hey there, it's been a couple of weeks since my last update, but that doesn't mean we haven't been gaming up a storm. In fact, just last night, we kicked off our second adventure on a new Virtual Tabletop (VTT). I decided not to record our game this time because we knew we'd be dealing with some technical issues, and it wouldn't give a fair representation of the overall experience, you know?

For this session, we tried out "Play Role" (or ROLE VTT), along with the Powered by the Apocalypse setting called ROOT. Let me tell you, our initial experience with both the VTT and RPG setting was pretty darn solid. We had a good time exploring the game and getting into the groove.

Next week, we'll be diving back into our playtest, and I'll make sure to jot down our Stars and Wishes for the record. I want to give a shoutout to my awesome gaming crew, Patrick, Adrian, and Jonette, for being part of this experimental journey.

Hello everyone, exciting news on the horizon! The next two Saturday games are going to be a test run of a brand new Virtual Tabletop (VTT) called Alchemy RPG. Get ready to dive into the thrilling adventure of Ruins of Symbaroum: The Promised Land, a dark and gritty D&D 5e setting that's bound to get your heart racing!

But hold on, there's more! Word on the street is that Dead Lands will be available on the platform within the year. Talk about leveling up the gaming experience! I'm beyond stoked to check out both the VTT and this incredible adventure. If all goes well, I might just consider moving my games to the platform once Dead Lands hits the scene. Plus, running SWADE games will be a breeze since Dead Lands requires the core book to play.

Yesterday was an epic day as we finally gathered for a face-to-face gaming session after a month of planning. It's been four years since our last in-person game back in 2019, and let me tell you, the experience was unmatched. While we regularly play online, nothing beats the engagement and sheer fun of playing together in person.

I also took on the challenge of running Savage Worlds Adventure Edition for the first time in a live setting. It was definitely a bit tough, but luckily, my players were already familiar with the system. Their prior knowledge made the game run smoothly and allowed us to dive right into the action. The thrill of rolling dice and sharing epic moments around the table is something we can't replicate online.

"Many moons have passed since losing the Demon Rocks on thier last mission, and now Anya is frustrated as a mule in a hailstorm with nary a clue to follow. So, she sequestered help from The Pinkerton Detective Agency. A few days later, Agent Seth Bullock arrived with an offer they couldn't refuse. He had information that could help them, but in exchange, The Agency wanted the RTSA's help to bring down the Gun runners. Little did they know, the Gun Runners worked with an old foe, a student from the past, and a family member they had not seen in a coon's age. Emotions and guns will be blazing high, and they would have to be quick on the draw if they aimed to make it out alive."

Savage Adventures Ep. 21: Tuxedos and Trenchcoats "Prisoner No. 54"

Welcome, Agents.

We have an urgent mission today. The President's daughter has been kidnapped by a group of criminals, and they are demanding that the government exchange her for a high-value prisoner, a corrupt politician who has been taken into custody. Our job is to ensure that the prisoner remains unharmed until he can be safely exchanged for the President's daughter.
However, there is a significant threat to this operation, as there is credible intelligence suggesting that this information has been leaked, and many criminal organizations are now out to stop the exchange and kill the prisoner. To counter this threat, we will need to be prepared to use all of our resources and skills to keep the prisoner safe.
Our first priority is to ensure that the prisoner is transported to a secure location, where he can be kept under close watch by our team. We will need to move quickly and discreetly, using all available means of transportation to keep the prisoner hidden from any potential attackers.
To accomplish this mission, you will need to disguise yourselves and blend in with the surrounding population. You must be prepared to act quickly and decisively in the event of an attack, and to defend the prisoner at all costs.
We will also need to be prepared to deal with any attempts to disrupt the exchange itself. We will have a team of experts working to plan the exchange, and we will be coordinating closely with other law enforcement agencies to ensure that we have the resources we need to succeed.
Remember, the safety of both the prisoner and the President's daughter depends on our success. This is a critical operation, and we must remain focused and disciplined. We must work together as a team to achieve our objectives.

Hey there, just hit another gaming milestone last night! Running a solo adventure for one player while the rest of the group continued with our unfinished quest was a ton of fun. Thanks to The Grid, I was able to manage both adventures without a hitch.

Big thanks to Patrick, Ron, Apollo and Uz for being so patient while we switched back and forth between the two adventures. It was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to wrap everything up on time!

As we approach the end of March, it's time to start planning our gaming schedule for April. If you're a regular player, you've likely already received the schedule and have begun filling in your availability. However, if you're new to the group or haven't yet committed to any games, there are still a few open slots available.

Here's a rundown of the upcoming games:

I had a fantastic time running the Dead Lands: The Weird West game last Saturday for two newcomers to the Savage Worlds Adventure system - Toby and Agnes. I was impressed by how quickly they grasped the mechanics of the game. It's always exciting to see new players take an interest in SWADE.

Odd illnesses and mysterious injuries plague Golden, Colorado. Some folks have just plain vanished. The RTSA feels certain something supernatural is happening. They task their agents to get to the bottom of it. When the group arrives, the mayor greets them and takes them to an infirmary. The sick townsfolk have a strange variety of symptoms. Some are deathly pale with small wounds to their necks, some have terrible bites, while others have strange burns. The few who are conscious describe being viciously attacked and sometimes hearing loud wails or hissing growls.

Hey there, everyone! Just a quick heads up, I have an announcement to make.
Unfortunately, I have to cancel the game that was supposed to take place tomorrow due to some health issues that I need to deal with. I know it's a bummer, but health always comes first, right?

On the bright side, I do have some fantastic news to share with you about three games that turned out to be absolutely amazing! Two of these games were played with some new players who joined in on the fun, and one game was played using the new chase deck. Can you say epic?!

I wanted to give a huge shout-out to all of my regular players out there who continue to show up and keep the spirit of the game alive, as well as to the new players who took a chance and tried out Savage Worlds for the first time. You guys are amazing, and I'm so grateful to have you as part of our gaming community.

Hey, I'm bringing my Savage Worlds games to the next level with these 4 decks: The Grid for random maps, the Action Deck for initiative, the Adventure Deck for a random twist once per sesh, and the Chase Deck for epic chases (Original from Deadlands but can be used for modern games).
And I've got the visual goods, too - tokens to track all the added mechanics so we're always on point.
Roll20 makes it so easy to create custom decks and tokens, I don't even think about switching to another VTT.
Keep an eye out, 'cause more game-changing mechanics are on the way! 😊

Whew! That session is finally done. I had the session planned and ready to run since Nov last year. 😄 But a lot of players were busy around the holidays I had to stop running games for awhile.
I'm pretty happy how it turned out. It was a long game though more than I expected. I decided to run the new Deadlands CHASE DECK and we had to play and learn it at the same time, so that kinda slowed things down. Funny enough, after playing the scene the table looked like a poker table with card and chips all spread out.
Having both THE GRID and THE CHASE DECK has given SWADE a lot of flexibility for me.
