MY GRASS IS CUT: The streets taught me to watch the fake smiles, the backdoor schemes, the wolves in sheep’s clothing. But recovery, taught me something deeper: The most dangerous snake can be the one that lives in your head.

The whispers of doubt, fear, jealousy, and pain, twisting your thoughts, coiling around your peace.Man, when you face those snakes inside, you realize the battle isn’t just out there—it’s in here.

And until you cut that grass, until you expose what’s hiding in the tall weeds of your mind, you’ll never see them clearly.

When the grass is cut, you can see the snakes will slither, but sometimes the deepest cuts don’t come from people, places, or things—they come from within.

So, I keep my grass low.
I keep my vision as sharp as possible.
I fight the battles in my head with the same intensity. I guard my circle. My 360. My environment. The inner and the outer.

To anyone out there fighting, whether it’s people, places, things, or the demons within—know this: You’re stronger than the snakes.

Keep cutting, keep healing, keep growing.
The garden you’re planting is worth it. 🌱✨

Ran into my uncle today. He was on his way to cop, and I was just coming back from a meeting. This disease affects the whole family. It’s a family disease, passed down like the stories we tell.

I remember him before addiction claimed him, back when his laugh was the loudest in the room, when he had dreams that stretched as far as mine. He remembers me from before I lost my way, before I found myself fighting my own battles. The difference now?

I’m here, back in my seat, working my program, piecing myself together one day at a time. And he’s still out there, caught in the grips of something stronger than either of us ever imagined.

No one chooses this. No one asks to be born with this weight. But it’s crucial to remember the person beneath the struggle—the man, the woman, the child who’s still there, still alive somewhere under the chains.

Addiction is a prison that doesn’t let go easy; it’s a master that speaks in whispers, in cravings, in moments of despair, drowning out their own voice. And yet, that humanity—it’s still there, waiting, hoping.

Love isn’t always easy. And recovery, no matter how broken we seem, is worth every step. We’re all in need of healing, of compassion, of a reminder that even in the darkest places, there’s a light that can reach us.

So here’s to us, the ones fighting, the ones hoping, the ones who won’t give up on each other.

Because beneath the scars, the stories, the years we’ve lost, there’s still someone who deserves to be seen, to be loved, to be free.

“The way I was living back then, everything was in excess,” shared with Complex. “After I released the project, I went on a few tours where I barely made any money. Then I finally embarked on my first headlining tour, and that’s when I started seeing some earnings.”

He went on to say, “I rented a place—my first time living away from my parents’ house, in a different city, with money in my pocket, and indulging in a lot of drugs. I mean, a lot of drugs.”

Chance reflected on how the drugs changed him, making him “a different person” and “a lesser version” of who he is today.

“If I hadn’t felt a pull on my spirit—a calling to become a better version of myself—I would’ve died, no doubt,” he admitted. “I would’ve just been known as the guy associated with acid, but I’m so much more than that.”

Law enforcement seizures of illicit increased dramatically in number and size between 2017 to 2023 in the U.S., especially in pill form, according to a new study funded by the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The number of individual pills containing fentanyl seized by law enforcement was 2,300 times greater in 2023 compared to 2017, with 115,562,603 pills seized in 2023 vs. 49,657 in 2017. The proportion of fentanyl pill seizures to the total number of fentanyl seizures more than quadrupled, with pills representing 49% of illicit fentanyl seizures in 2023 compared to 10% in 2017. The study also found a significant increase in the number and weight of fentanyl-containing powder seizures during this time.
“Fentanyl has continued to infiltrate the drug supply in communities across the United States and it is a very dangerous time to use drugs.”

Seattle is in the midst of a severe crisis. More than 16,000 people were reported experiencing homelessness on a single day in King County during the 2024 Point-in-Time Count—the highest number ever recorded. This figure is still considered an undercount, highlighting the scale of the issue. Additionally, the fentanyl epidemic has devastated our community. In 2023, the DEA Seattle Field Division seized 3.7 million fentanyl pills and over 280 pounds of fentanyl powder across our region. In King County alone, more than 1,067 people died from fentanyl poisonings and overdoses, a shocking 47 percent increase from the previous year.

SilentWRKS, in partnership with Raised From The Dead and Think Thought, is launching a vital initiative to provide food, clothing, and essential resources to our unhoused neighbors and those affected by addiction. We aim to provide immediate relief through unhoused kits containing essential items like food, clothing, hygiene products, and information on support services. These resources are crucial for those struggling with homelessness and addiction. But our impact goes beyond material aid—it's about offering hope, dignity, and a sense of community.

The Power of Community:
We cannot tackle these crises alone. It takes a collective effort to make a difference. Your support is essential in enabling us to reach more people, distribute more resources, and offer a lifeline to those in need. By coming together, we can show that our community cares deeply and is committed to making a positive change.

Who We Are:
SilentWRKS is a creative consultancy dedicated to addressing critical issues in our communities. We are joined by Raised From The Dead and Think Thought, organizations led by individuals who have overcome addiction and are now living in recovery. Their personal experiences with these challenges provide invaluable insight and drive our mission.

Our First Event:
Our kickoff event, “To: Chinatown with Love,” will focus on supporting those struggling with active addiction in Seattle's International District. This area has been heavily impacted by the fentanyl crisis, and our goal is to provide immediate relief and support to those most affected.

Join Us:
By supporting this campaign, you are contributing to a broader movement aimed at tackling homelessness and addiction. Your donation will help us provide essential resources and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Together, we can bring hope and support to our community during these challenging times.

If you're unable to contribute financially but still want to help, please consider sending an in-kind donation. For more information on how to donate items please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Thank you for standing with us and for those who need it most.
