Here we go, hitting the road again, this time fleeing the glossy trough of fishnets, denim, a flood of one-shoulder-tank-top-wearing millennials, and unwrinkled Gen Z faces with giant eyelashes — to the land where there may still be snow on the ground.
I will miss the spectacle, the reunions all over town, the insane quantities of barbecue to be consumed, my wonderful bandmates, and that new magical music discovery I might never have encountered if not for
I will not miss: the traffic, the anxiety of loading in and out quickly enough, someone’s inevitable wristband drama, and spending a lot of dollars I wouldn’t be earning back anytime soon.
So thrilled to have shows with both of these heroes again. It fills my heart, my soul, my confidence tank, and my dreams bucket to be invited back with each of them. Biggest thanks to and for what is sure to be a magical couple of weeks.
OH - and southerners (and folks with friends in the south) - I am still look to fill April 29th in Georgia or North Florida or somewhere in that region, as I travel from Birmingham to Charleston.
