This little guy from Slovyansk got his first ever present from St. Nicholas today. He's an orphan hiding with his granddad and grandmom in a basement from russian shelling. Look at his hand. He came to this volunteer center to fetch his present, holding bread, just bread.

russians killed a Ukrainian children's writer. A minor son with a disability is left an orphan...
Volodymyr Vakulenko is the author of more than a dozen books, the laureate of numerous literary awards, an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity, and a volunteer.
The children's writer and poet fell victim to russian occupation in Kharkiv Oblast, during which the russian invaders killed him. His body was found in a mass grave that contained more than four hundred bodies.
Volodymyr Vakulenko left two sons. One of them has a disability and needs constant help, and has rarely been separated from his father.
The murder of a writer is not an accident. For centuries, russians systematically destroyed the Ukrainian intelligentsia. One of the waves of murders in the middle of the 20th century went down in history as the "Shot Revival," when an entire Ukrainian literary and artistic generation was executed.
Thus, in a particularly cynical way, the russian empire is fighting against any manifestations of Ukrainian identity. Nothing has worked for them before - and, of course, nothing will work now.

Володимир Вакуленко – автор понад десятка книжок, лауреат численних літературних премій, активний учасник Революції Гідності та волонтер.
Дитячий письменник та поет потрапив в окупацію в Харківській області, де був вбитий російськими загарбниками. Його тіло знайшли в місці масового поховання, в якому знаходилось понад чотири сотні тіл.
Володимир Вакуленко виховував двох синів. Один з них – неповнолітній, має інвалідність, потребує допомоги, майже ніколи не розлучався з батьком.
Вбивство письменника – не випадковість. Росіяни впродовж століть систематично знищували українську інтелігенцію. Одна з хвиль вбивств в середині XX століття увійшла в історію, як "Розстріляне відродження", коли було страчено ціле українське літературно-мистецьке покоління.
Таким чином, в особливо цинічний спосіб, російська імперія намагається воювати з будь-якими проявами української ідентичності. У них нічого не вийшло раніше – і, звісно, нічого не вийде зараз.
Вічна та світла пам'ять всім загиблим від рук російських окупантів.
Нагадуємо, підтримка України та її Сил Оборони – це найкращий захист від режиму холоднокровних вбивць, які втратили будь-яку мораль та знищують все живе навколо себе.

Another terrible crime of the russian occupiers!
At night, the terrorist state’s rockets hit a maternity hospital in the city of Vilniansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
A baby boy who was only two days old died... His mother miraculously survived.
Two doctors were injured in the shelling; one of them is in serious condition.
Also, the russian federation once again shelled the Kupyan district in Kharkiv Oblast. Rockets hit a high-rise building and an outpatient clinic. Two people died.
"The enemy has once again decided to try to achieve with terror and murders what the ninth month cannot and will not be able to achieve. And it will be responsible for all the evil he has brought to our country," Volodymyr Zelensky commented on russia's crimes.
The Ukrainian World Congress expresses its sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims. We call on the world to continue to focus efforts on helping Ukraine and countering russia. A terrorist regime that is waging war against newborn babies, civilians, and critical infrastructure must be stopped once and for all.

Вночі держава-терорист вдарила ракетами по пологовому будинку в місті Вільнянськ, Запорізької області.
Загинув хлопчик, якому було всього два дні... Його мати чудом залишилась живою.
Через обстріли поранено два лікарі, один з них – у важкому стані.
Також російська федерація вкотре обстріляла Куп'янський район Харківської області. Ракети влучили в багатоповерхівку та поліклініку. Загинуло двоє людей.
"Ворог знову вирішив спробувати терором і вбивствами досягти того, чого вже дев’ятий місяць не може і не зможе досягти. А буде лише відповідати за все зло, яке приніс у нашу країну", – прокоментував злочини росії Володимир Зеленський.
Світовий Конґрес Українців висловлює щирі співчуття рідним та близьким загиблих. Закликаємо світ продовжувати фокусувати зусилля на допомозі України та протидії росії. Терористичний режим, який воює проти новонароджених дітей, цивільних мирних громадян та критичної інфраструктури має бути зупинений раз і назавжди.
