“La unión hace la fuerza”(unity makes strength) and in May 2021 we saw a glimpse of that strength as well as some history!

With election results being officially certified, we would like to congratulate María Cecilia Hinojos Pressey, Osvaldo Avila, Karina Guzmán, and Ashley Carson-Cottingham on being elected to the Salem-Keizer School Board. All of the hard work from these candidates and the community means our SK students will finally have the representation that had been missing in the entire history of the board.

In the Woodburn School Board elections, we would like to congratulate Anthony Medina and Laura Isiordia for being re-elected to the board, as well as a thank you to Michael Vasquez for running.

We would also like to thank the community for coming out to vote & making their voices heard! Every vote counts and thanks to everyone we will be able to focus on equitable representation measures to ensure that the voices of ALL our students and parents are being heard and uplifted.
