LET’S BE HONEST & LET’S BE REAL

Now… honestly speaking we can agree w| Kathy Hochul on ongoing efforts to address intersecting educational & youth mental health crises. Most certainly that’s one of the main concerns on all “US” parents & guardians stress the issue on a regular daily basis w| our children! “Get off the phone already !” We see our children either already on their phone from coming home from school to/or already going straight to their rooms & magically appearing In their hands a electronic instead of their school books or a reading material??!!!” 😒😳🤨🤔🙄 We all know back in “ALL OUR DAYS” we had to either waited til we got “ALL” our homework or household duties done before video games or going out w| our friends because it wasn’t til way way later we was able to own our very own cell phone devices. We had house phones lol. When we was able to show we were responsible enough we had phones that ran on minutes 😭 “ call me after 8pm type ish..” buhh anywhoss let’s get back to it, please 🤗 We can’t have the phones banned from all schools cuz she is also correct, “asserted "a majority are allowing it" in the face of parental concerns about losing the ability to connect w| kids amid fears of school shootings.” Not just a fear of school shootings, we have children w| medical problems, children that needs a form of communication w| their parents for any concerning or emergencies that may be needed on personal aspects, for our peace of mind knowing & making sure our children are safe at all times in any given moment?!!” We don’t have to have them banned, more to say their phones should have restrictions during school hours… I mean come on… their smart phones… if the phones are able to set alarms, location trackers, etc etc. we can all take the time to set restriction times during school hours & have it off when they get out off school. (( Personal experience that works in my families favor, we have it set when the kids bus gets to school grounds… & shuts off the restriction the moment they enter their school bus back home. To restriction back on the moment their time is set & settled in for homework to when they are done w| the household duties. ))) hopefully everyone gets the picture here… 🫠 Phones shouldn’t be banned, we for a fact know they tried it back in the day & we all once or all school year had snuck in our phones still… metal detectors or not ?! 🥱🙄 take the time to reconsider before we realize what we are giving up here. The only reason why it’s a shocker or a surprise is because ain’t nobody standing up saying anything. So yeah of course, Kathy going to throw her jabs to do her very best to get these kids focus buh it’s not just her or the school to be on top of our children… us as parents need to be freaking parents & put that foot down!!! They will only blame us for why our kids having no respect or form of responsibility … think about it 🤔😬

New York Cuban & Hispanic American Parade Set to Honor “Queen of Salsa” Celia Cruz

Today is a Celebration of the Legendary Cuban American performer, as we all know salsa music has roots in Africa & is a sound that originally came out of Cuba & Puerto Rico, many would say that the Puerto Rican community in New York City put salsa music on the International map. NYC now have a non-profit group that is working to bring the International Salsa Museum to the Bronx, not only just to honor those artists & many more, buhhh… also to preserve the culture & legacy of salsa music as a whole.

Harriet Tubman is & , ( & ).

Every year of this day is celebrated for her } of for women’s suffrage, abolishment of slavery & freedom of slaves. She is well-known for the where she have networked w| other anti-slavery activists. She was born on a plantation in Dorchester Country in , named Araminta ’ ’ Ross. After her first marriage, she had changed her name to Harriet Tubman.

Tubman’s will & courage goes waaay back when she was a child. From running away often, fighting back, & wore layers of layers of clothes to protect her from brutal beatings. ”Ya know the saying, “”I Got I lt From My MaMa!!”” Well… Harriet’s mother was also known for fighting back. 👊😎Her mother “ ”, once told a slave trader who had wanted to take her son, “You are after my son; Buhhh… the first man that comes into my house, I will split his head open.” 😳🫢 ( Hell Has No Fury Than A Women’s Scorn )

Although, she have been thru tremendous trauma; recurring experiences of strange visions & vivid dreams which she had ascribed as premonitions from god; those experiences led her to become devoutly religious. In 1849, Harriet had became a free women after escaping from the plantation to , only to return to her family in Maryland to rescue them right after. As time progressed, slowly one group at a time was brought from relatives to then dozens of other enslaved people to their freedom. Tubman( or “ ”, as she was called ) “Never lost a passenger” traveled by night. Over the years, she helped about 70 slaves escape.

During the time had began, Harriet worked for the , first as a & , then as an & 🕵️‍♀️. As being the to lead an armed expedition in war, she had guided the raid , which had liberated more than 700 enslaved people. After the war, Harriet retired to the family home she had purchased in 1859 in , where she cared for her elderly parents. ❤️ While still being active in the , her illness had eventually overtook her & she herself had to be admitted to a home for elderly that she had helped to establish years earlier.
