People aren't searching for information the way they used to.

The rise of ChatGPT and other LLMs is fundamentally changing how listeners discover new content.

If your podcast strategy doesn't account for this shift, you're already being left behind.

In this coming season, I’ll share how bigger creators are growing their shows now that Google isn’t the biggest player in town.

Could this be the weirdest (yet most effective) content creation hack?

In case you’re finding yourself spending WAYYYY too much time re-recording sections that didn’t ‘work’ or fixing mistakes, may I recommend that you try this:

🎤Ditch the stand and hold the mic - your brain associates it with fewer constraints and will help you stay more focused!

I tried this technique last year when I was experimenting with season 2, and it blew my mind how effective it was at keeping me focused!

Also, you may notice that soo many podcasters who do video also hold the mic, so let me spell the beans:

It helps reduce visual clutter because you don’t need a mic stand, and it also ensures better audio,
It’s a more relaxed vibe than if you have a mic arm/ stand in front of you - you can’t move as freely!

Will you try this?

Podcasting isn’t just a platform, it’s a door to:
✅Deeper connections,
✅Intentional visibility,
✅Opportunities that keep showing up!

But that only happens when you show up intentionally, not just consistently!

Position yourself to take aligned action because that’s where the growth really begins.

Podcast discoverability doesn’t need to be hard.

While your podcast is in between seasons, use that time intentionally to grow your audience with low-lift actions.

Submitting your show to podcast recommendation newsletters and websites is a great way to get more visibility in front of audiences that are likely to actually take action and press ‘subscribe’.

And the best part is that most forms take less than five minutes to fill out, so imagine how many you can submit in less than one hour.

We highly recommend you look into:

Hot takes are everywhere online and at online conferences.

But here’s the thing: most people giving advice online don’t know:
❌your context,
❌what’s already working for you,
❌ what you enjoy and comes easily to you,
❌ your capacity, your schedule, or your goals.

So before you take a random strategy and run with it...

Please — for the love of the Tech Lords — don’t follow advice blindly.

Make sure it fits you.

What’s a piece of advice you’ve had to unlearn lately?

30/05/2025

Not every episode will be your best on - and that’s okay.

It’s something I shared at this year’s panel: we spoke about longevity, authenticity, and what it really takes to keep showing up.

Some episodes may shine.

Others?

You get the message out, even if it’s not your most polished work.

And that doesn’t make you less of a creator, it makes you a consistent one.

Progress over perfection is what sustains your voice in this industry.

What helps you keep showing up when things aren’t perfect?

“You’re trying to get shame to die in the open.”
That line from my guest ? It stopped me in my tracks.

Because that’s what so many of us are doing:
✔︎ Trying to name the thing that hurt us before it keeps hurting us.
✔︎ Trying to speak it before it buries us.

Shame only grows in silence. But when you say it out loud?
It loses power.

You take the story back - and that’s what’s powerful about podcasting - it’s YOUR narrative, YOUR story, YOUR SPACE!

What if instead of aiming for ‘perfect’ we aimed at getting better?
Worrying about future regret or how it compares to someone else’s standard?

That’s normal.

But don’t let those insecurities stop you from publishing.

Let them fuel your growth.
Every post is a step forward — not proof of perfection, but progress.

Let this be your sign to publish the content you’ve been insecure about!

If you’re podcasting without video - especially without YouTube - you might be making growth harder than it needs to be.

According to sponsorship coach Justin Moore , YouTube plays a huge role in discoverability.

It’s not just a platform - it’s where brands, new listeners, and potential collaborators are already searching. And the best part? You don’t need fancy gear to get started - just a plan and a little consistency.

Video gives your podcast more reach, better content repurposing, and a clearer path to audience growth in 2025.

Have you started sharing your podcast on YouTube yet?

❓What does it take to get to 100 episodes?
❓How do you survive creator fatigue, burnout, and impostor syndrome?
❓How do you consistently get new listeners to tune in?
❓Which effective marketing strategies can you use to grow your show?

After producing and co-hosting close to a thousand hours of podcast content, I've gathered so many insights about what it takes to succeed in Podcasting.

I'll be answering live listener questions on this week's livestream of episode 100 of The Podcast Space! However, if you sent me your questions ahead of time, I'll also have those ready to go, so don't worry if you can't make it to the live show!

Comment 'LIVE' and I'll DM you the YouTube link!

Vacation mode is over, conference prep mode is on. 📝

I have been pretty silent for the past two weeks:
🤫 No podcast.
🤫 1 Social media post.
🤫 No articles.
🤫 No newsletters.

I normally don’t go silent on here but this time I decided to do it to test what would happen to o my brand and podcast if I took a break from content creation. Here’s what happened:

📊I received endless podcast guest pitches for my podcast,
📊I already received requests to connect ahead of ,
📊I got about 25% of downloads I regularly get on a monthly basis without promoting the podcast a single time
📊 I got 0 client inquiries (granted, it’s summer, not that many podcasters are looking for help in July-Aug)
📊 Got a positive reply from a really exciting brand partnership
📊 Got confirmation that I wasn’t shortlisted to any of the 13 awards I submitted myself for
📊 Got approved to speak for one of the conferences I have been eyeing for years…

But most importantly…

✅I was able to rest my creator brain (not the business owner one, though, that one is contantly running!)

In one week I will be headed to Podcast Movement in DC and will be networking, learning and connecting to other creators in the space. Time is ticking this week.

What about you? Do you unplug during vacation or schedule content while you’re away?
