Once again, Kenyans are being led down a path of distraction. We are asked to participate in discussions on issues where decisions have already been made, giving us the illusion of involvement. It's a carefully orchestrated attempt to make us feel heard while ignoring the voices that matter most.

Meanwhile, critical issues like the transition from NHIF to SHIF and the controversial Adani deal involving JKIA fly under the radar—issues where true public consultation was not even sought. These are the topics that directly impact our future, yet our leaders remain indifferent.

It is painfully clear that the welfare of the average Kenyan is not a priority. After all the debates, complaints, and shouts of “wote waende” fade, we return to our daily struggles, our voices drowned out, while those in power continue their unchecked plundering.

The imbalance is stark: they have the wealth, the influence, and the control. As long as they refuse to listen to the outcry of Kenyans, the gap between the governed and the governors will only widen.

Perhaps one day, Kenyans will come together with the resolve to bring about a complete overhaul of the government—a true revolution of values and systems. But the fight against corruption is not only about holding corrupt leaders accountable. The reality is that corruption has taken root in the fabric of our society, and until we address it at all levels, progress will be limited.

Kenya is a nation of immense wealth and potential. Our challenge is not a lack of resources, but a failure to manage them properly. If we can shift our focus from self-serving schemes to genuine development and accountability, we have the power to transform this country. It’s not just about ousting corrupt officials, but building a culture where integrity and responsibility guide our collective actions. Only then can we unlock the true potential of our nation.

DECLINING MARRIAGE & BIRTH RATES?
So many young people can't afford to have children. Cost of living is prohibitive, and our society is frankly crazy. Why would they have kids?

People don’t earn enough to even take care of themselves, is it any wonder were not having kids?

The population is slowly dropping due to more women not wanting kids, the younger generation avoids having kids , more men avoid marriage or kids thanks to bias family courts, housing is super expensive, minimum wage is too low, people are unhappy and the government is not helping out with higher taxes and no housing reforms to help the middle class and the poor. Homelessness is on the rise, depression, ...etc. People even prefer death these days as su***de rises.

People have fewer or no children because they can't afford them. Women want fewer or no children because they have to work full time and they are exhausted.

Recent protests in Kenya, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Venezuela serve as a reminder that people are not willing to settle for what they did not sign up for

There is nothing good about not being able to afford your most basic needs like food, shelter, clothing, health and education

There is nothing good about living paycheck to paycheck

There is nothing good about being constantly worried about money to a degree you cannot enjoy the good things of life

There is nothing good about being worried about what you will eat next, how you will pay for your rent and how you will provide for your family

Money may not bring happiness but there is a certain calmness in being financially stable!
