"Mary Shelley" (2017) is a biographical drama that tells the story of Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (played by Elle Fanning), the young woman who became the author of the legendary novel Frankenstein. Directed by Haifaa al-Mansour, the film delves into her life, highlighting her groundbreaking creativity and the challenges she faced in a restrictive 19th-century society.

The story begins with Mary as a rebellious teenager living in the shadow of her famous feminist mother, Mary Wollstonecraft.
