The Daisy Clover Restoration: Reviving the 1960s Australian Band

Daisy Clover were an Australian rock band formed in 1967. They named themselves "Daisy Clover", inspired by the 1965 film Inside Daisy Clover. By 1969, their line up was Greg Hunt on the vocals, Nick Kenos on lead guitar, Alf Giarrusso (Alfie Red) on the drums, Jimmy Maxwell on the organ and John Taylor (formerly of the Town Criers) on the bass.

Recently, I was contracted to restore some of their music.

Recently, I had the joy to work for the amazing Fiona Taylor from Faces by Fiona.
She came to me with a company video that was in dire need of audio restoration.

In this presentation, you can see the work that I did in Before & After format.
In the first section, I had to isolate the dialogue, restore, and remix it with new music.

For the second section, Fiona recorded a new voice-over and, I edited, synced and mixed it.

During these past few weeks, I started thinking of how I would approach its mix after thousands of hours in the studio.
