Mavin Records Boss, Michael Ajereh, known as Don Jazzy, has announced the death of his mother.

He revealed that his mother died after battling cancer......“Lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone ,”

“I am beyond devastated. I have never felt pain like this in my life but I am consoled by the good life she lived. She was loved by everyone that ever met her.

“She was so strong till the last minute for us even while she battled with cancer.

After four years after failing, by a small margin, in his race to govern Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, wins 17 Of 30 LGAs.

The electoral commission, INEC, has formally declared Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the governorship election held in Osun State.

The INEC Chief Returning Officer for Osun, Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, announced the result Sunday Morning said the PDP candidate scored 403,371 votes to emerge victorious.

The runner-up which is the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 375,027 votes.

I hereby declare that Ademola Adeleke “having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby declared the winner and he is returned elected,” Mr Ogundipe said.

Actor Baba Ijesha j@iled 16 years. Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Domestic Vi%lence and Sexu@l Offences Court on Thursday sentenced a Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha, to 16 years impris%nment.

The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions, which proffered the charges against the actor, argued that the offences contravene Section 135, 137, 261, 202, 262 and 263 of the Lagos State Criminal Law 2015, which stipulates life impr!sonment for offenders.

Baba Ijesha pleaded not guilty to all the counts. However, a Closed-Circuit Television video recording detailing his relationship with the v!ctim said to be a minor was played in court.

Delivering the judgement, Justice Taiwo said that the prosecution failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty of all the charges against him.

However, she found the defendant guilty of four of the six counts against him.

Baba Ijesha was found guilty of count two, three, four and five.

Nigerian comedienne Princess has reacted to a ruling by Ikeja special offences court convicting Nollywood actor Olarenwaju James known as Baba Ijesha.

“God is not man,” Princess posted on her Instagram on Thursday.

The actor was arraigned on June 24, 2021. During the trial, six prosecution witnesses testified against him.

Winner to go home with 100Million naira worth of prizes - BBNAIJA

All is now set for the premiere of the seventh season of Africa’s biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, this July.

Season 7 was unveiled to the media on Tuesday in Lagos.

Present at the unveiling were Ex housemates here: White Money, JMK, Seyi Awolowo, Frodd, Vandora, Esther, Jaypaul and Venita Akpofure.

For its seventh season, BBNaija will feature a unique double launch show on July 23 and 24, respectively.

Both shows will air from 7 pm on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29, with a simulcast on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban and Africa Magic Family.

The 10-week extended reality TV show will follow the lives of strangers as they interact and compete with each other to win the grand prize of N100m worth of awards, the biggest reality TV show reward on the continent.

Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content & West Africa Channels, MultiChoice Group, said the season promises to be bigger and better.
