This book had been sitting in my library for the longest time. I always thought it would be another typical Colleen Hoover read… until I saw the trailer for the movie adaptation.

And honestly? That trailer did its job. 👀

I picked up the book and couldn’t put it down.

The plot was intriguing, unsettling, and completely different from what I expected. I genuinely enjoyed the mystery and the constant feeling of “wait… what is actually going on here?”

What I especially liked was seeing Colleen Hoover step away from her usual style. Verity feels darker, more twisted, and more psychologically gripping than her typical novels.

Was everything perfect? No. But did it keep me hooked? Absolutely.

And that ending… 😶‍🌫️
Let’s just say I finished the book with more questions than answers.

A quick, addictive read for anyone who enjoys psychological suspense, morally grey characters, unreliable narratives, and endings that make you stare at the wall for a while. 🖤

📖✨ The Reappearance of Rachel Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Some books keep you turning pages long after you promised yourself "just one more chapter." This was definitely one of them.

The mystery unfolds at a gripping pace, with enough twists and revelations to keep you constantly questioning everyone. Holly Jackson has a way of making you feel like a detective, piecing together clues while second-guessing every theory.

What I enjoyed most was how addictive the story was. The suspense builds beautifully, and I genuinely wanted to know what had happened to Rachel Price.

That said, the book wasn't without its flaws. While the family drama plays a central role, I found the family dynamics a little difficult to believe—they often felt exaggerated rather than authentic. Because of that, some emotional moments didn't land as strongly as they could have.

The climax, although shocking, wasn't entirely convincing for me. It felt a bit too far-fetched and didn't fully live up to the incredibly strong mystery that came before it.

Still, if you're looking for a fast-paced thriller with plenty of twists, suspense, and an ending you'll be thinking about, this is absolutely worth picking up.

✨ An engaging mystery that keeps you hooked, even if its emotional realism and finale don't quite match the brilliance of its premise.
