Honoring a Bulldog Legacy 🐾
Mrs. Dixie Mendenhall McClain was a proud Cooper High School graduate, Dogette State Champion, and lifelong Bulldog who returned home to serve Cooper ISD as a teacher and administrator. Mrs. McClain served, led and loved students for over 34 years.

Many remember Dixie as a State Championship Basketball, First Team All-State, and Texas All-Star Athlete. Mrs. McClain exemplified excellence on and off the court.

She later served as Assistant Principal at Cooper Junior High, touching countless lives through her leadership, faith, and heart for students.

A gifted pianist, writer, cancer survivor, devoted wife, and mother, Dixie leaves behind a legacy of service, strength, and grace that will always be part of Cooper ISD. 🩶 In loving memory, Dixie, clearly exemplified .
