Yapurutus have no holes along its body and it is played by varying the intensity of the musician's breath.

Hi everyone, here

The world feels like it's going through a tough time. Hearing about the terrible things happening, like the attacks by Hamas terrorists, the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and the struggles of people in poor countries, is really saddening. And the recent news about hundreds of pink dolphins dying in the Amazon River is just heartbreaking. It's a huge loss, taking away almost 10% of the total Botos in just a few days.

I want to make it clear, this isn't a post about Bolsonaro or Lula. Both have their share of blame and their hands aren't clean. It doesn't really matter who they are, because our politicians in Brazil have a long history of being dishonest. I still have hope that one day, the Amazon will be cared for by people who truly value it.

For now, as a fellow Brazilian, I urge all of us to think about the situation in the Amazon and find ways to support our beloved nature.

Here's a photo of me paddleboarding in the Amazon when I lived there. The Black River was my special place, and I'd visit almost every week. It's important that we protect this beauty and not just rely on politicians, because they won't do enough.

Greetings, fellow music lovers!


I am , the founder and CEO of Sounds of the Earth. Today, I want to share with you the story of our journey, from the birth of The Amazonic to the rebranding of our company.


In 2018, I had a dream of recording the essence of the Amazon's sounds and musicality. I envisioned creating the first sample library recorded by natives and locals, which would not only showcase Brazil's diverse musical heritage but also preserve traditional instruments that are in danger of being lost. The result was The Amazonic: AMA 1, which was a roaring success.


Feeling that our mission should be expanded, we knew we had to go further and capture the soul of music from other cultures worldwide.


After much reflection and dialogue with industry experts, I came to the realization that The Amazonic was not an appropriate name to represent sounds from other cultures. Although I hold the name dear to my heart and take pride in having created it, I recognized the need for a different name that better aligns with our expanded mission. And so, after careful consideration, I chose the name Sounds of the Earth as the new company's name.


At Sounds of the Earth, we're on a mission to create something that transcends borders and connects cultures. We believe that music has the power to bring people together, inspire change, and preserve traditional sounds. That's why my new business partner, Daniel Figueiredo, and I, along with our dedicated team, are committed to collaborating with native and local musicians from around the world to capture the essence of music from diverse cultures.


Our goal is to create a movement that empowers musicians, preserves traditional sounds, and contributes to social causes globally. Through our work, we hope to inspire others and create a positive change the world.

With special attention to details, we captured every sound emitted by those instruments thus guaranteeing the creation of a powerful tool for composers and producers looking for a professional, emotional and spiritual sound to add on their music.
