When we first met with the people at the Williston Police Department North Dakota, the first thing that stood out to us was how clear and passionate they were about the WHY behind what they do in the community. They have a clear mission and vision, and that always gets us so excited!

When we dove into the story development, we knew we wanted to take a different approach to this recruiting film. We wanted to really show the people behind the badge - giving you a look into their everyday lives outside of their work, showing that who they are as members of the community is who they are as police officers.

We had the chance to personally meet and work with so many wonderful people at the Williston PD over the course of the project. They are so genuine, love their family and their community - and personally care about what they do. We're excited to give you a look into their lives!

This week is National Correctional Officers Week! Let's take a moment to appreciate these unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

They play a crucial role in maintaining safety and order within the correctional facilities, ensure a secure environment that aids in the rehabilitation process, and help to provide inmates with the structure needed to make positive changes.

Their hard work and commitment help keep our communities safe and support individuals on their path to reintegration.

We first met Michael Bloom back in 2017 when he was one of the Community Trust Officers at the Fargo Police Department. He has an incredible heart for the community! We were able to collaborate on a bunch of projects that helped bring the community together, reach out to kids and teens, and so much more.

Fast forward to 2023 - Michael left his job as a police officer to start Hip Hop & Hope - a ministry dedicated to bringing the gospel to those who are incarcerated. His mission - inspire hope, foster positive change, and bring a message of redemption through the unique fusion of faith and music.

We were blessed to collaborate once again to help put together a video showcasing this ministry, and we'd love for you to check it out!

At the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, they're living out what it means to put service above self. Every day they put their lives on the line to protect and serve. But there are so many things they do on a daily basis that no one ever sees, and yet has a huge impact on the community.

With this new recruiting film, we had the honor of showcasing the incredible work they do behind the scenes - keeping our communities and families safe!

We're so thankful for the hundreds of people from RSO and the Riverside County community who made this project possible - and to our awesome team here at Defender who put in the blood, sweat, and tears to make it the best it could be!

Today, January 9, is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day!

A special thank you goes out to the extraordinary men and women who selflessly serve and protect, ensuring the safety of our communities day and night.

Please be in prayer for our friends at the Fargo Police Department, as they mourn the loss of one of their officers with two still in critical condition. 💙🖤

The Fargo Police Department will host a press conference at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 15 in the Commission Chambers within Fargo City Hall to provide additional information related to the July 14 critical incident which occurred near 9th Avenue South and 25th Street South in Fargo.

The FPD press conference will be broadcast on The City of Fargo channel 56, at TVFargo.com and streamed live across The City’s social media platforms.

A total of five individuals sustained injuries in this incident. The Fargo Police Department can confirm that one of its officers has died as a result of sustained injuries and two remain in critical condition this evening. Two other involved civilians sustained serious injuries, including the suspect who has died as a result of the shooting.

The investigation is on-going and the identities of those involved are not being released at this time as the process of notifying family members is on-going.

The Fargo Police Department is unable to release any additional information prior to this press conference.

The FPD acknowledges and appreciates the community’s support during this difficult time.

Their dedication, professionalism, and expertise help to keep us safe, often in the most harrowing and stressful situations.

Your tireless efforts do not go unnoticed, and they are deeply appreciated. You truly are unsung heroes, and we are grateful for all that you do!

❓DID YOU KNOW: Our sheriff's departments play a crucial role in search and rescue operations - their trained personnel and resources can make all the difference in locating missing hikers and others who may end up in a dangerous situation.

From coordinating search efforts to deploying teams and equipment, they work tirelessly to bring people to safety. So let's give a shoutout to our local departments for their dedication to being a safeguard in our communities!

We had the privilege of working with the Williston Police Department to create their recruiting film which was released in 2021! One of our big goals is to create content that humanizes the men and women in law enforcement. In this scene we filmed a mother (and real police officer) getting ready to leave for work, right before hugging her girls goodbye.
