The M8 connectors are A coded to support 1 Gbit Ethernet or Profibus, while carrying IP67 ratings and mating compatible with CUI Devices' M8 circular connector jacks.
The CDM8 family offers a range of plug versions with contact position options of 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8 pins.

Housed in PVC jacket material with copper alloy screw terminals, these M8 circular cables feature straight or right-angle orientations and cable lengths of 1, 2, or 3 meters. The circular cable assembly models further carry an operating temperature range from -25 to 80°C, current ratings of 1.5 or 3 A, and voltage ratings of 30 or 60 Vac. GEA is equipping two additional production lines of the energy storage and specialty chemicals group Albemarle for the production of lithium hydroxide.

Lithium hydroxide is used as a starting material for the production of batteries for electric vehicles. Other applications include photo developers, ceramic products and the production of borates. The order value for the two centrifuge packages is approximately EUR 24 million.

The filtration and sedimentation centrifuges will be installed at the company’s Kemerton lithium hydroxide processing plant in Western Australia. Specifically, GEA will supply four different types of centrifuges: screen screw centrifuges, decanter centrifuges, peeler centrifuges and pusher centrifuges for the processing lines of each refinery. In addition, consulting services for installation and commissioning are part of the overall package.
