Do me a favor.
If you see a nurse (or any healthcare worker) out in public right now in their uniform.
-don’t be mean to them
-don’t teach your child to be scared of them
-don’t give them an ugly look
-don’t say nasty things

I promise, they have washed their hands 50 times more than you have today. They have worn more masks, gloves, and gowns than you can imagine. Their requirements on infection control and restrictions have changed hourly. They have worked longer hours than normal with less staff.
They are exhausted.

While you were out buying up everything in the store last week, they were working. They shared TP and paper towels with co-workers because it’s all at your house and they’re running out. They bought individual sized milk at the cafeteria because they don’t have any at home.

They don’t get to complain about homeschooling because they have to find someone to watch their kids. They’re worried about the risk of bringing illness home to their family.

They know the next few weeks are going to get even worse, but they keep going.

So when you see them:
Keep your distance......but also, SMILE.😊
Tell them thank you.
Let them know you appreciate the work.
Stay home. Because they can’t. ❤️
