We are thrilled to show you the new Box Set cover art by Todd Lockwood. This is a piece called “Phoenix Endangered” that Todd created for a novel in 2008, which has been minorly retouched to fit Start Here. We love this piece because the adventuring party is working with the dragon instead of trying to slay it. Not all dragons are evil.

With heavy hearts, we bring you the news that Jennell Jaquays entered Valhalla yesterday.
Her contributions to gaming as an author, game designer, and artist are legendary and she will be sorely missed.
Jennell contributed fantastic ideas for the Wizards & Wranglers campaign setting and we all wish we could have worked with her well into the future.
Jennell’s wife is left with staggering medical bills, and the link to the GoFundMe is in the comments.

Ed Greenwood is joining the Start Here Roleplaying Game collaborators! Link in comments.

This is a bittersweet development because Jennell Jaquays was working on the Wizards & Wranglers campaign setting and has contributed several fantastic ideas, but she has to step away from the project for health reasons.

Ed Greenwood will be picking up where Jennell left off and completing the adventures, encounters, and plot hooks. An already very busy man, Ed is not only making time for this, he is also having us pay Jennell in full for the work both he and she contribute in order to help with enormous medical bills.

Beach House Games has a standing offer for Jennell to contribute to whatever book we are working on once she recovers, and we all look forward to working with her again.

Be like Ed and help Jennell! She is recovering from Guillian Barre syndrome. Please contribute if you can, and share with friends, game groups, and on your social media. You can read about the details and contribute to her GoFundMe campaign. Link in comments.
