AOV International Championship (AIC) 2021: 5th Anniversary Will Begin On 27 November 2021

9 November 2021 - The draw for the AOV International Championship (AIC) 2021: 5th Anniversary is here. A total of 14 teams from 8 Regions will fight to bring home the world champion title.

**TOTAL PRIZE of 1 million USD 💰💰
(equivalent to 14 billion Rupiah), or double the total prize pool of the previous tournament.

The AIC 2021: 5th Anniversary tournament will be held online from November 27 to December 19, and will be broadcast in several languages, namely Indonesian, English, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese. All Challengers (as AOV game players) can watch the match through Garena AOV Indonesia's official YouTube and Facebook accounts .

Time Makes Heroes

Using the new Slogan, “Time Makes Heroes”, this tournament honors the struggle that the teams are going through towards this 2021 AIC international tournament. By passing all the obstacles that exist, they develop into heroes. The winner of the AIC 2021: 5th Anniversary tournament will take home a prize of 400 thousand USD (equivalent to 5.6 billion Rupiah), and the second place will receive 200 thousand USD (equivalent to 2.8 billion Rupiah).

Indonesian representative team, ARCHANGEL, joined in Group B along with other strong teams, such as Saigon Phantom (Vietnam), Hong Kong Attitude (Chinese Taipei), ONE Team Esports (Chinese Taipei), UndeRank (MSP), Team Flash (Vietnam), and Valencia CF Esports (Thailand). Group Stage AIC 2021: 5th Anniversary will be held on 27 November - 5 December 2021.

Tournament Format

AIC 2021: 5th Anniversary Group Stage will use the Best-of-2 Global Ban Pick format, where the best 4 teams from the group stage will qualify for the Quarter Finals. The winning team in the group stage will get 3 points, a draw will result in 1 point, and the losing team will get no points at all.

Entering the Quarter Finals, each team will play a Double Elimination format, where the losing team will enter the Loser Bracket, and the winning team will advance to the first phase of the Quarter Finals Winner Bracket. In this phase, the Best-of-7 Global Ban Pick format will be used.

The losing team can still advance to the Grand Final through the Winner Bracket Semi Finals and Loser Bracket Semi Finals.

AIC 2021 1v1 Tournament Drawing Results: 5th Anniversary

AIC 2021 1v1 Tournament Drawing Results: 5th Anniversary too announced on November 7, 2021 yesterday. Each team will send 1 player to compete in the 1v1 tournament which will take place on November 26 and December 1, 2021. Team ARCHANGEL itself will face ONE Team Esports in a 1v1 tournament in the first round. Arc.Wiraww will be fielded in this tournament and against top players from other regions.

This 1v1 tournament will use the Best-of-3 (BO3) Single Elimination format. So each player only has 1 chance to take home the main prize of 10 thousand USD (equivalent to 142 million Rupiah), double the previous prize.
