Mid season patch thoughts:
New area in DMZ feels like it should have been a raid instead of a new map. Long, convoluted and focuses on puzzles and looting. Not a fan.
New tec9 and rebreather means people are just going to be camping underwater for minutes at a time in final circles that end near water. Unsure why its not a SMG class but anyway.
Servers are still very much garbage. Every single match so far has had some form of latency/packet burst etc. At least its funny when the whole lobby rags on acti in the chat whilst they wait it out.
I guarantee you nobody asked for a sandstorm to be added to reduce visibility. Nobody.
One shot snipers nerfed again to make them harder to use at a reasonable range.
Audio is still virtually non existant most of the time and no acknowledgement on their behalf their last fix was indeed not a fix.
Ive said it a few times but im really coming to the end of the rope with this game. Its clear its not getting better at this stage so i dont know we are holding out for.

On another note Diablo 4 server slam this weekend. Going to get rowdy with a warrior and or druid as we did not run them during the last 2 beta runs.

Good evening Spuds and Spudettes. We have hit the milestone of 500 Followers here and i couldn't be more grateful to each and every one of you. For those that are new or that have been living under a rock, I transitioned to Twitch a few months ago due to the problem facebook has been giving its creators recently and we are live over there most nights. Its a hell of a lot better in every regard.
I apologise for not being very active otherwise recently, but i promise to get back to making VoDs shortly once i get a few things sorted to free up some time. I will be diversifying my games a little with CoD being in the state its in. I will also be playing Path of Exile, Diablo 4 on release. Starfield on release. Will probably take a peek at Elden Ring DLC whenever that drops. I will still be playing CoD just not exclusively. I don't have a game schedule atm and i don't think i will. For my happiness i dont want to lock myself into games im not feeling that night etc
Either way welcome to the newcomers and thankyou to the oldtimers still here, like a spud in the dirt we will continue to grow slow and steady till we are ready to turn into vodka...or mash potato.

Spuds!
At the risk of beating a dead horse with these posts just want to update and thank y'all.
Last nights first 'Affiliate' stream was turned the F up. Viewership, follows etc all pumping and a whopping 9 subs! 2 of these were gifteds - if you didnt know the first 10 subs you buy for yourself get a 'founders' status and get a shiny big "1st" badge displayed in chat until the end of time. Only 3 of these remain so if you want one get in quick tonight at 730 AEST or miss out permanently!
I have integrated a couple of awesome tools i couldnt previously on facebook that will make the stream that much better - some to do with channel points/chat and some for my BRB screens to keep you guys entertained during (youre just gonna have to come over and see for yourself)
I have an overlay haul im about to put into the works and all in all its absolutely full steam ahead for you legends. Everything is just running so smooth given all the 3rd party support for twitch vs facebook and its really bumping stream quality up. I hope you are all enjoying it over there more as well.

Its happened already, we are already an affiliate over on Twitch! Can't thank enough all the legends who have come over and watched me there. Got some big things planned so stay tuned 👀
I will be doing a live on Facebook on Sunday night so lookout for that as well.

Phenominal start and second stream over on Twitch. Already smashing the 'hardest' affiliate requirement of average viewership, just need the followers and streams which will be done regardless. I would absolutely love to get it within a week but we will see 👀
If you haven't already it'd be greatly appreciated for a follow over there! As much as facebook has catered for me to plant my roots and start to grow it really has stunted recently and even big names are ending their facebook partnership to be able to multistream to get more reach and grow. I'm certainly not immune to this and even 2 streams in im seeing a noticeable difference so we will most likely inevitably make the move in due time.
I have big plans that i was previously unable to do on facebook due to integration issues and the limited customizability so it will be a much better user experience overall - i'd love for you all to come over and say hi but understand not all have a twitch or care to move to another platform for one spud.
Let me know your thoughts down below about this whole shebang (i genuinly want to hear them!)

Spuuuds!
Firstly, once again we will be live on purple tonight at 730 AEST in a few hours. We seem to be vibing out and having a great time over there so be sure to stop in and say hi and hang. There is so much more freedom and customization over there its insane - which brings me to my second point -

Secondly, i am knee deep in ideas for the stream but need someone savvy in DJ/sound equipment and the likes and integrating stuff via automatic computer commands etc to be integrated with the stream. Not sure what is and isnt compatible and doable so id someone can reach out to me that knows a bit about this please do!

Spuds and Spudettes!
I will be attempting to do my first live over on Twitch tonight at 730pm AEST (about 1hr15min from now) Ive set up what i can and will be hopefully having alerts that i could never successfully integrate on facebook (albeit generic alerts until my custom overlay is complete)
Lately as im sure youve seen many of your favourite facebook streamers say there has been nothing but drama and no reach with facebook and is definitely going the way of the titanic. This is not a goodbye to facebook i think, but i am definitely keen to dip my toes into Twitch and see how we go over there. The customizability and reach i will have vs facebook is a world of difference and i hope that this will be the beginning of the real grind.

What's cookin Taters.
So my last clip is kinda blowing up on tiktok right now and coming from 30 something followers to 400 and climbing fast is a little surreal. It's also doing very well on YouTube. Whilst I do post to Facebook, YouTube and tiktok at the same time for all my vods make sure to follow me on my other socials to get more Potato. Facebook barely pushes anything these days and what's basically viral on tiktok has reached almost nobody here I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know it existed. You guys are legends and the main reason why I still grind to make quality content for you. This is just the beginning.

Spuuuuuds!
What is cooking. I hope every had a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year! Hopefully everyone is due for a few cardio days after all the food. Apologies for the lack of content on the christmas break - i set my sights on a thing and i did the thing - see below. Now lets never speak of the thing again.
Going forward into 2023 it's going to be the year of the Spud. Expect 5 vods a week and more Warzone content.
I have a few other tricks up my sleeve but the biggest news is i will be starting to stream on Twitch and Youtube, as well as still here on Facebook simultaneously. With 2022 down i now have exactly 2 years to reach my goal of full time and that is not long at all.
Hopefully going to 2 other platforms i can grown a little more as Facebook isnt what it used to be. Either way i will be staying here unless i sign an exclusivity contract elsewhere, which wont be anytime soon.

Good news. NBN Tech came out this morning and quickly identified the problem as a bad nbn modem and has swapped it out and I've been told the net is now up and running! I'll be live at 8 tonight continuing our high on life playthrough!

Sssssspuds.
Update on net. Turns out its not an issue that will resolve itself. Got a competent Tech when I phoned up this arvo. Narrowed to an nbn connection problem and a case has been raised and Tech will be out in the morning if it can't be resolved remotely before then which I doubt. Hopefully this is an easy fix and I will be back up and running tomorrow night or potentially tonight if by some miracle it's resolved. Will keep you updated.

Not my net apparently.. . Been ou all day and just got off the horn with ISP apparently nbn has some form of outage with no eta. Potential for no stream tonight if it doesn't resolve in the next few hours. I will keep you all updated but I'm keeeeen to get some more high on life done!

Taters!
Who caught the gamer awards? Who is happy or unhappy with the results?
I usually dont have too much faith in these but i whole heartedly agree with most of the winners this year.
The big one of course being GotY between Elden RIng and GoW. Elden Ring won both GotY and Art Direction. Whilst GoW was a fantastic game it didnt push boundaries or innovate on anything etc. Elden Ring however basically created/redefined its genre and innovated to the point of making a niche genre of games from a small studio the most popular game out for months on end in an entirely new structure.
The second one is Players choice. A lot of people will probably disagree with me but i think Genshin is most certainly the uncontested winner in the catagory. If you dont play you wont know why. I can count my personal 10/10 games on one hand and this is one of them. Everything is perfect or close to it and miyoho very much care about the player base unlike developers like acti/blizz who solely care about profits. Perfect score and story amongst other things.
Do you agree with me or are we throwing down in the parking lot?

Also a big thankyou to all the others that have subbed and given stars as well since i began this journey - i know this economy sucks balls and money is tight so even just thinking about giving something means the world to me. Like any other streamer/content creator i want to have this be my job so i can see you guys for 40 hours a week but at the end of the day it boils down to a paycheck stopping me so i really do appreciate you all slowly but surely making me realize this dream even if its a like or follow at a time. We will get there! We are getting close to the 500 follower mark which still amazes me to this day.

I need suggestions! I'm getting real bored of the hyper competitve FPS scene here in Aus thats in every casual lobby of late. Between the lack of players here and the SBMM being wildin' i just don't enjoy the genre like i used to and am not interested in sweating my ass off just to maintain a positive KD every single match. Tried basically every BR game and none interest me. Just getting over the PVP FPS genre in general.
What are some stellar games that you play that you can recommend?

So i've had a few days to really dig deep and think about this and i've decided that i am no longer going to be a streamer...
After a lot of reflection on where i am, where i want to be and how to get there i've realized that being a streamer is just not what i originally wanted to be and not what i need to be. Instead i will be doubling down and really striving to be a 'content creator'. A lot of you will probably think its the same thing but there are a few key distinguishing points that separate these and these are the things that are important to me and what i need to succeed.
(sorry not sorry for misleading you i was amused when i thought to write it)
I would consider myself small streamer, as most other streamers are. I enjoy every single one of you stopping by and chilling, lurking and having a good time in stream and its what has kept me going and why im announcing what im announcing, but if im being honest, it's the same people and the same things happening. The growth is there, but it is a crawl and thats just not good enough for me. No big time creator got to where they are simply by pressing the live button a few times a week. There is so much more to it than that.
I have had a few days to really think about the question thats been on my mind i've been avoiding the past few weeks because im afraid to answer it. I'm afraid of what will happen if its the wrong answer. But with MW2 now release im forced to answer it. Do i resign to be a small streamer forever or quit? Or do i double down, change with the times and evolve into something else? Thankfully i've decided its the latter. I want to be a content creator not to simply be paid to play video games although that is a HUGE bonus, but to grow and be a part of a community. That's why youre here, thats why im here.
This means ill pull back on streams a bit. Ill still be live 4-5 days a week, but i wont be going live simply for the sake of going live or staying live for extended periods. Instead i will have to devote this time to both editing, and planning where to go next. Theres a lot of things i want to try, to implement and get out there. In a saturated world of small time streamers wanting to be the next Dr Disrespect what will separate me from everyone else? Again, pressing that live button wont do this and is the tip of the iceberg to what other big time streamers do to get and stay where they are.
Some things that i want to do is to dual stream to youtube as well. I dont really have an interest in twitch at all tbh. I need to grow and post to my tiktok/youtube frequently daily as well. I need to tweak a few things in regards to my 'branding' and my image overall. Theres a lot but the hardest step is done. My mindset is now stronger than ever. At the end of the day my goal is to do this full time. Im not looking to earn millions a month or to be a household name, but i do want to wake up every day happy knowing i get to just chill out with you guys and the community we will grow together.
I have a library of old clips that i will be posting daily whilst i still learn the advanced things i need to learn in premiere for the ~fancy~ edits. Ill be posting these to youtube and tiktok so if you want to help me please feel free to go there and like/follow/comment to get the ball rolling there. Ultimately this is goodbye to the old spud and hello to the new and improved spud 2.0.
