Before and after shots ng Sta. Barbara Church, or mas kilala na ngayon sa “The Sunken Church” ng Mapananuepe Lake, Zambales.

Ang Mapanuepe Lake ay binubuo dati ng Brgy. Buhawen/Bajaoen at Brgy. Aglao. Lumubog ang mga ito pagkatapos pumutok ang bulkang Pinatubo taong 1991.

Ang naiwan na lamang na konkretong bakas ng dating mga barangay ay ang nakausling bubong ng Sta. Barbara Church ng Brgy. Buhawen/Bajaoen.

PHP 500 lang ang binayaran namin sa boat ride para malibot ang Mapanuepe Lake, at para makita up close ang The Sunken Church. Back and forth na ito and good for 4-5pax. Kung mag cacamping naman kayo sa Rodriguez Ranch (New Zealand of Zambales), pwede nyo din icoordinate sa bangkero nyo. Kung nasa Rodriguez Ranch naman na kayo, at hindi dumaan sa Lake Mapanuepe View Deck (via lahar trail), coordinate na lang kayo sa care takers.
