My not so perfect rainbow fondant cake.
On last June 6, we celebrated my youngest daughter's 3rd birthday. She said that she really wanted to have a rainbow cake for her birthday. And yey, we made it!
Thank you Ate Ella, Mimi ganda and Sophia bebe for the help.
Yung naglatag ka ng fondant kahit na wala ka magamit na tools kasi nawawala sila.
Buti na lang naitawid magawa yung cake kahit na maiyak iyak na ako hahaha. By the way hindi ko ginawang rainbow color ung cake kasi ayaw ko ng maraming food coloring, so nag try ako ng new recipe which is vanilla lemon cake with salted caramel filling and chocolate ganache.
So, a short backstory muna hehe
The last time I created a fondant cake was four years ago. Although, a little disclaimer, I started way back 2014.
At first, I just wanted to bake for my family and friends. Eventually, out of curiosity, I started to learn how to make a fondant cake as well as using icing /butter cream for cakes/cupcakes decor.
I watched video tutorials from YouTube, I attended various tutorials to enhance my knowledge and gather techniques.

To make it short, naging part tine job ko sya. That was the time na sobrang saya and sobrang fullfilling yung pakiramdam. Yung feeling na besides being a house wife, kumikita na rin kahit nasa house ka lang.
But because of unexpected blessing, that is my lovely Erin, I stopped.
For her birthday, I decided to make her a cake. Para hindi kako unfair na I did a lot of cakes for Sophia but not for her - until her 3rd birthday para wala na akong utang kay Erin na cake( although meron pa din hehe).
Maybe every birthday gagawan ko na ulit sila ng cake since I already proved to them, and to myself, that I can. I always felt kasi na baka hindi ko na kaya since nga ang tagal ko na hindi gumagawa.

I remember one of my closest friend told me before that I could always go back and continue what I've started because nandun yung LOVE and PASSION and as well as COMMITMENT ko sa craft ko.
I can always go back whenever I'm ready.
Now that Erin is already 3, I am thinking, "Maybe, why not?"

I’m so happy that Erin loved it very much and she said to me, "Thank you, Mama, for making my rainbow cake," with her sweet little voice that made my heart melt❤️🌈

• Classic Cream Puff •

Super bet ko yung outcome, airy and very soft!! Talagang nagmemelt sa mouth 🤤 For the filling I combined whipped cream and custard, masarap and very light lang yung texture. More more practice! 🤪💕
