NEW EPISODE! I’ve finally posted the deep dive into the history of CA’s death penalty. I think next week I might push another episode about California inmates but we’ll see!
I have a new episode out!!! Today I really wanted to dive into California’s history with their death row.
As you may know, California is slowly dismantling their death row by taking prisoners out of San Quentin and transferring them to other prisons in the state.
Historically, California has had its ups and downs with capital punishment that has kept them from abolishing it.

NEW EPISODE! This week, we revisit the case of Sacco and Vanzetti and finally get to look at their ex*****ons! Sacco and Vanzetti's case has been widely disputed because of how unjust their case was. Although debate into whether or not the two men were guilty of their crimes is less argued, it is important to realize that our justice system tried and sentenced the two men because of rising political tensions in the country and the xenophobia that was riddled throughout the political and law systems. As a Boston native, this story was close to my heart and I hope you guys enjoy the ending the Sacco and Vanzetti's case as much as I did.

The story of Sacco and Vanzetti uncovered the xenophobic practices of the U.S. government post-WWI.
Plagued with nativism and anti-immigration sentiment, Sacco and Vanzetti were sentenced to death. Their case sparked international debate and protests due to the unfair treatment of the two men.
In part 1, I decided to dive into the crime, the initial trial and the subsequent appeals.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!
So, I decided to do something a bit different this week. I’m going to do a multi-part series on the trial and ex*****ons of Sacco and Vanzetti.
Their case is an important one because it shines a bright light on the xenophobic practices in the US justice system and how detrimental it was for immigrants in the States.
Their story also talks about the rise of anarchism in the US and it’s ties to the labor movements popping up in the country.
I hope this is an interesting series!! Stay tuned for the first episode this Friday.
NEW EPISODE OUT!
This week, I watched the documentary The Phantom and I was inspired to talk about Carlos DeLuna, a death row inmate in Texas that may have been wrongfully executed. The case is actually pretty insane because it might have been a case of mistaken identity and police error. Buckle up folks because this is a wild story!
